- From £310.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 19 reviewsExceptional location on a quiet beach surrounded by a palm tree forest / The staff was incredibly friendly and provided helpful tips on activities and exploring the local area / The rooms, all facing the ocean, are secluded from one another, ensuring enough privacy / The facilities were well-maintained and very clean, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious.Guest review byTimGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 143 reviewsStaying at Baia Sonambula was outstanding. The room (#1) I stayed in was magnificant. The staff was lovely and overdelivered. They went above and beyond during my stay. I highly recommend staying here. It is close to the beach - roughly a 10 second walk. The views from breakfast were breathtaking. I can't wait to come back and bring my friends and familyGuest review byCraig MUnited States

The vibe of the place is amazing, the people are super friendly and there are a lot of nice places to eat. Overall it's a small beach town and I quite liked it. I also did a couple of days of diving with Liquid Diving, which was very nice as well.Guest review bySunil RamakrishnaIndia - 10.0

From Jhb, the more reliable consistent commercial flights are to Vilanculos. Even though the road to Inhambane is on the countries main road, it is single lane and a few hours of travel, although so worth it when one arrives in InhambaneGuest review byBHHZimbabwe - 10.0
Praia do Tofo itself is Paradise.
Praia do Tofo itself is Paradise. However, avoid using LAM to travel at all costs. On our trip there one of our bags was simply left in Johanneburg and only reached us 3 days later. On our trip back, our flight was delayed for 18 hours and then cancelled with no indication of when a flight will be available. We had to charter a bus to get to Maputo to ensure we were home for Christmas. In both cases, LAM was extremely unhelpful. No information could be provided. Not even an apology was offered. To date we have not been able to secure a refund for the cancelled flight.Guest review byFrancoisSouth Africa - 8.0

When visiting Inhambane be sure to visit Guinjata bay for scuba diving and beautiful empty beaches. Tofo is also interesting for day trips to explore the local islands by sail boat which also supports the local population. It has a little market by the beach with many nice restaurants which is very popular with tourists.Guest review byWinterboySouth Africa - 2.0
Great view..
Great view.. We booked for 3 nights stayed the first and then left. Room smells like sewage at night. Water from taps and in toilet is brown. Safe does not work and could not be fixed. So nowhere to keep our important docs. RE car papers and passports. Wind blowing through the doors at nights. Restaurant is very slow. Only 3 tables wer full and waited almost 1h 25mins for supper. We had a sleepless night. Reception did nothing to help. No manager on duty. Sent a email to the property with no answer. We drove 6 hours back to Bilene and booked for the remainder two nights. One good thing here is the view.Guest review byRUBENDRANSouth Africa - 8.0

Is a very nice small town, unfortunately, as many others in Mozambique, poorly maintained. A hurricane, a few years ago, created lots of damage, and some of it was not repaired. But if you are heading to Tofo or Tofinho, for its beaches, a tour of Inhambane is certainly deserved.Guest review byJosé C. FerreiraPortugal
