Fantastic place for a long weekend or holiday in the hills of Zuid Limburg. Very quiet location just outside the small village. Owned and run by a friendly family who really understand hospitality, so much more personal than big chain hotels. Real value for money.
Very good breakfast buffet. Perfect location for walking and cycling. We would love to come back!!

The owners of the hotel made everything possible to make you feel welcomed as a guest.
Facility was great, clean, staff very friendly and supportive, simply said, you feel like home.
The dinner in the restaurant was also very good, I can recommend to have dinner there at least once.

Our accommodation was very clean and spacious.
Our accommodation was very clean and spacious. Bungalows were pretty new. Good location for cycling trips, walking. Small footbal/basketball pitch. Large swimming pool, unfortunately not heated. Water was clean and warm enough for swimming, but too cold for chilling out with the kids. I will come back there. Great discovery on my list of weekend stay places.

Schin op Geul is a small village located roughly half way...
Schin op Geul is a small village located roughly half way between Heerlen & Maastricht, It is a good base for exploring the area and also has good links by car/train to the wider area. Good for walking and cycling. It is only five minutes by train to Valkenburg a larger town with plenty of places to eat.

One of the best places to take as your base for a hiking...
One of the best places to take as your base for a hiking weekend in the "Dutch Mountains" of Limburg province. There are abundantly many signed walking and cycling routes in the forests, along the Geul river and through the little villages.
We were here for an overnight stay, on our way back from an Expo in Germany. This was in the second week of October, and foliage just started. We consider going back for a weekend in a week or two.

Eijsden was a beautiful wee place.
Eijsden was a beautiful wee place. Lovely walk along the river. Fabulous restaurant at the river reasonable prices and food excellent. We used the bus service which was excellent was always on time and was approx 5 euros to Maastricht.

Lovely space in the small village of Norbeek about 15 minutes from Maastricht. We were this area for an event at Mheer Castle in the neighboring village of Mheer and this location was perfect. Very clean and spacious room. Location is convenient to many of the local historical sites. Highly recommend this place!

Nice town center with all shops you might need and a few good restaurants. Also home of the "miljoenenlijn" steam train and restored old train station. Great base to visit the surrounding area and cities

Great for walking (hiking) and biking in the area with a large variety of different routes. Gulpen has its own brewery that you can visit; be it on a tour (highly recommended, pre-bookable) or simply just visiting their brewcafe for lunch/dinner.
Be aware though that the key "center" of Gulpen is alongside a fairly busy road.

It is a very peaceful town, several villages in a row. I can see somewhat different life styles of Dutch people in terms of houses and surroundings, which is a good experience in traveling corners of Netherlands.
