Big supermarket next door and pizza restaurant too. We stayed over Hogmanay and loved watching fireworks light up the mountain. Exceptional value for money over peak holiday time. Thank you.

I was able to book with short notice and the sauna was warmed for us on our arrival. We were given bigger room than booked with amazing view, terrace and a kitchen. Location was beautiful on top of a mountain. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and tasty. Would be good to be back during winter to do some cross country skiing.

Putten Setter is located at "the top" of mountains and you will experience amazing views from nearby hills.
Cottage is overall clean, nice and equipped (however some older kitchen equipment could be maybe replaced).
But, I really recommend this place and would like to come back some day.

Olympic black run (the mens and woman’s downhill course) was...
Olympic black run (the mens and woman’s downhill course) was the most difficult ski run I have encountered, having visited various Norwegian resorts…very enjoyable for those of black standard….plenty of other variety…easy family skiing available in resort. Maybe chair lifts need wind covers and dare I say seat heaters when weather is really cold( Kvitfell please note Hafjell offer that!), so there’s a challenge?

Dombas is an excellent stopover coming back from the fjords...
Dombas is an excellent stopover coming back from the fjords to Oslo. I stayed at the campsite located on top of the village which offers nice cottages and views of the surrounding mountains. The area offers plenty of hiking trails and 5-6 hours moose and muskOx safaris not far from Dombas starting at 10am. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do the safari since I stayed just for the night and left in the morning.
All amenities are located in one spot at the Dombas Senter which includes petrol & many fast charging stations, cafeterias, a couple of restaurants, supermarkets and a huge souvenir shop all at reasonable prices. We ate at Moskusgrillen located on the opposite side. The restaurant offers some traditional food, meats, juicy burgers and large pizzas. We tried the deer burger, ribs and pizza and were all very good. I will definitely go back.

Nordseter is beautiful but quiet - it only has a couple of hotels and mostly comprises private lodges and houses. There are regular buses to Lillehammer but we found it very useful to have a hire car and we went down to Lillehammer, about 12kms away, most afternoons for shopping, and afternoon coffee.

As a visitor who likes hiking and sports, I was looking forward to see the sites of the Olympic games and nature. And I was surprised that a deep wild river gorge runs from the hills all the way to the city centre.

It was one our best cabin experiences.
It was one our best cabin experiences. The hosts were great and very responsive, and flexible. They visited personally to ensure everything is alright. We got all the help right away. The cabin itself was very clean and the facilities provided were more than what is mentioned on the booking e.g., the cabin also had BBQ facilities, hair dryer, hand soaps. The view was awesome. The location was great. There were several play lands and other activities for kids nearby. Kids enjoyed the most. We had a great time!

Lillehammer in winter is enchanting - snow covered, charming...
Lillehammer in winter is enchanting - snow covered, charming shops, lots of people around. Walking the town is very interesting - great views of the river valley, interesting architecture. If you like to cross country ski, this is the Mecca! hundreds of kilometers of ski trails nearby, groomed everyday. I was focused on skiing, then an afternoon walk. There are a couple worthy museums. The Olympic Park is a worthwhile climb above town. Otherwise not much entertainment or other sights.

Nice resort, perfect for families as it’s not too big or small. The ski runs had simple greens/blues for beginners and a couple short but fun more challenging reds and black runs for the more experienced.
Food and restaurants could use more work. Not many restaurants to choose from and pricey too (even for simple pizza and pasta dishes).
