FranceThe location was outstanding. If one picks room 104 (without balcony) or 103 (with balcony) they are greeted with the wonderful view of Peleș Castle - imho these are the best rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Having the opportunity to walk in the garden around the castle at once’s pleasure (especially in the evening, when all the tourists have gone) was great. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated in an appropriate style; clean and comfortable.

Wow. The family room is huge and nice. All the furniture is beautiful.
The staff is fantastic, especially Ronil from Sri-Lanka who always keeps smiling. It's not in the center of town so it's quiet and there is always enough parking.
They also recommended an excellent restaurant, Yuca, very close to the hotel, to which we went several times.
I'd be glad to return there.

Very near the touristic spots and central restaurants, clean and having also a spa with pool
The young man from the reception was nice and friendly,the older one should try to smile and be more friendly though

A great historical town surrounded by mountains with great nature, views and interesting landmarks. Peles castle is a must, both outside and inside. Mountains are beautiful, whether for hiking or skiing, there are gondolas, hike trails, sleds, buggies, etc. The city center is cute and cozy, the architecture mix is astounding, and the park is nice. The restaurants are good, but expensive mostly, while Uber/Bolt are very cheap. Brasov is an hour away via train, and Cantacuzino castle (where Wednesday was shot) is 15 minutes via car in Busteni. Plenty to see, would recommend.

The castle is pleasant and worth a visit. The Telecabin is weather dependent and expensive so choose your dates, and be wary of queue times. Otherwise the village is run down, with little to do and feels very neglected. Nicer to find a trail and go walking. Glad I went but one day was more than enough - sorry!

I did have reservations about going to Romania to watch a...
I did have reservations about going to Romania to watch a sporting event in town but these proved completely unfounded and we thoroughly enjoyed our 12 day stay.
Yes, the town does have the hallmarks of an ex eastern block design but that just adds character and charm of these and other period buildings in amongst the newer westernised designs.
All the bars and restaurants we went into were very accommodating, clean, polite and above all reasonably priced compered to UK. Everyone we met out and about was polite and accommodating despite and language barriers - we all got there in the end!!
I would gladly go back and explore a little bit more and the nearby locations of Bran Castle (Dracula) and Brasov a definite must whilst you are there too

Good to visit during ski season. Little to do outside of it. Not to mention the access from Bucharest and even Brasov. Awful traffic all thorough the year. Many hours spent is a standstill queue. Other much better alternatives available.

Unexpectedly, one of the most beautiful and nature-rich, as well as history rich places in Romania. The legendary Hasdeu castle, as well as the House of Nicolae Grigorescu museum are here. The Brebu Monastery is Heaven on Earth to see. Also, don't miss the Doftana Valley. One of the best and easiest trips to take, from Bucharest.

Not sure what one can do in Slanic besides visiting the salt mine. The city seems to be in some sort of limbo; on one side some of the streets are coquettish and clean and quite, on the other side it is not a city bustling with life. At all.

Take the time to go by car towards Pucioasa, there are some great views.
Visit "Livada David" a big surface orchard, with own products for sale.
On the minus side, some streets are just for one car, even if on the map it may look like any other street. Stick to the main streets for wondering by car.

Nice quaint town in the middle of the Dealu Mare wine region about 2 hours drive from Bucharest. Some decent eating choices in the town of Mizil about 15 minutes away. There are lot of modern wineries with good inexpensive wines within 15-25 minutes. We had excellent personalized wine tours at LacertA winery & Budureasca winery with the wine makers. It was exceptional at both the places.

We were in the area for an Orienteering event, to give an idea of the welcome the Mayor presented all of the prizes. We had trips out by car to Sinaia (train also possible) and Brasov by train. Both worthwhile day trips with the castles and cable car in Sinaia and the old town in Brasov.

Beautiful little city with a few places to see such as Peles Castle, Pelisor Castle and the city center. The city center offers a lot of restaurants to choose from. You can also see the surroundings by going for a ride with the cable car up on the mountain (2000mtrs altitude).
