United StatesFrom the moment we arrived we were were so cozy and comfortable. The apartment was spacious, warm, and had pretty Christmas lights in all the windows. The kitchen was huge and well-equipped and the beds were so comfy. We couldn't have been happier with the welcoming staff and the peace and quiet of the area. Also, parking is plentiful. The frosty views were so beautiful with windows all around the apartment. This spot blew us away and we will definitely stay again when we pass through this area.

One of them even helped our 10 year old with making a grilled cheese sandwich at the brekfast. She waited with him the while it took for the cheese to melt, and talked with him ❤️ The visitt was really good, so were the room and facilities.

The breakfast was simply the best I’ve ever had. Everything was delicious, with a great variety of food. The restaurant atmosphere, combined with quiet jazz music, made the mornings even more enjoyable. And the view you get every morning is absolutely astonishing.
The staff was very polite, professional, and always helpful. From the very first step you take into the hotel, you get the feeling of being in a 5-star hotel.
The hotel has a huge parking area, and the access road was well cleaned of snow. It’s also very close to the ski slope, which is a big plus.
The room was clean, warm, and comfortable. There is also a minibar available in the room (not free, of course).

Excellent experience at Holiday Club Åre. Perfect location. Excellent place for walks, fishing and other activities during the summer (located next to the lake, Åreskutan cable car, 20 away from the biggest waterfall Tännforsen and 10min from Ristafallet etc.). Hotel was very nice, room spacious, clean and will all appliances needed. Also a nice view from the room. Breakfast was great, a lot of different options. Very valuable, that in the hotel there are other activities as well, e.g., bowling, billiard, mini golf etc. Great destination.

The check-in was friendly and fast. The room and view was awesome! Such a great view! The breakfast was so luxurious and we talked to a staff member, a young girl, she had been in Sweden a few years. Her hospitality and friendliness was to a 10✨. We will definitely recommend this hotel and we want to go back!
I think we came at a day where the roof top bar was closed but then we headed out in Piteå and had a lovely evening. Definately a hotel and town we’re revisiting!

Great place, I've enjoyed every minute. The beds are comfortable, there's enough space to store and hang stuff, kitchen & bathroom are very clean. The sauna is open most of the time, it could be a bit hotter in there though. There's also a room to dry things. Very effective. Haven't tried the restaurant, brought my own bed sheets.

Fascinating place.
Fascinating place. We were there in December so lots of cold and darkness, but we loved that. So many opportunities for cold weather outdoor activities and viewing the Northern Lights. We did a dogsledding tour and a trip to the Abisko Sky Station. With more time, we would have done more! The restaurant at Camp Ripan is excellent. You have to do some digging to find other good restaurants in Kiruna but we found some- definitely check out OT’s Bodega and Stejk. It’s a fascinating area and a cool and friendly little town. Sometimes we walked from Ripan into town and sometimes took the bus. Would love to return!

Umeå is a hidden gem in northern Sweden, offering a unique blend of vibrant culture, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. My visit to Umeå left me thoroughly impressed with both the city and its people.
The city itself is a harmonious mix of modernity and tradition. Umeå is known for its thriving arts scene, and it certainly lives up to its reputation as a European Capital of Culture.
Nature lovers will find Umeå a paradise, with its close proximity to lush forests, serene rivers, and the stunning coastline of the Gulf of Bothnia. The city is designed with nature in mind, with plenty of parks and green spaces to explore. The Ume River, which runs through the city, provides picturesque views and is perfect for a leisurely walk or bike ride.
But what truly makes Umeå special are its people. The residents of Umeå are some of the friendliest and most welcoming individuals I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Despite the city’s northern location, the warmth of its people is palpable. Whether asking for directions, recommendations, or just striking up a casual conversation, the locals are always eager to help with a genuine smile. There’s a strong sense of community in Umeå, and it’s easy to feel at home even if you’re just visiting.

Great place to start from when you want to hike somewhere...
Great place to start from when you want to hike somewhere green and foresty. Nature reserves, trails, an island few minutes by bus we could walk through five days and still love it. And you return to somehow quiet city, but big enough to get your shopping and meals and also entertainment. Easy to go around and travel to near by cities both by train and bus. I can imagine it would be much harder in winter months, but June in Sundsvall is heavenly.

Clean and comfortable place. Visited "Old town" now for first time and it was nice. Cafeterias were not open, but nice old houses and beautiful church really worth visiting.
In Luleå shops are closing very early on Saturday and are closed on Sunday, it would be nice to do shopping longer. On Saturdays difficult to get table reservations to some restaurants, you might wan't to plan your dinner in advance and do booking before trip.

Small village, very quiet.
Small village, very quiet. Far from the agitation of the city. Best place to embrace the darkness and the wild and watch the northern lights. Only one small supermarket in town, most of the activities are happening outside in the nature so be used to outdoor activities.

I lived on Frösön for 11 years and worked in Östersund. Östersund town centre is vibrant with a lot of shops. So many towns in England have many empty shops, so it is so nice to see that Östersund is still alive.

Skellefteå is a town with an intriguing history. A pretty town on the banks of a large river.
The view across the river of the beautiful main church has been obscured by an ugly multi-story parking garage. Who thought up that damaging action?
The town is currently in the grips of street optimization. The narrowing of the main East-West street, is questionable and will soon cause traffic congestion.
The station is still in place, but no rail traffic goes there apart from goods !! The infrastructure around the railway and station needs to be optimized and take advantage of the existence of a rail link to the rest of Sweden and the outside World.

The Ice rooms were spectacular.
The Ice rooms were spectacular. The staff were stupendous, couldn't have asked for a better experience. Loads to do and see in the area, Seen the Aurora Borealis stepping outside our room was supper special, The Dog Sled ride was an exhilarating experience. Taking a breat to heat ourselves up at the Sámi visitors center was delightful. AND the food, YUM YUM YUM....

Great place.
Great place. You can have plenty of adventure activities around O-vik. It is the start / end of the high coast hiking trail in sweden.. Destiny pulled me here. Now I started a job in Ovik. All the adventures are waiting for me..
