The whole of the premises are extremely clean and very well appointed. All the health and safety criteria are covered. The rooms have a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a wide breakfast selection (continental) and the hosts are very obliging with any special requirements. The rooms and ensuite bathrooms are spacious. The beds are very, very comfortable. A lot of attention has been paid to every detail. Although Ilovka is very quiet, it's close to amenities, many places of interest, the airport, as well as the lakes (Bled & Bohinj). Wonderful views of the mountains. The hosts are genuinely welcoming and friendly. A big thank you to them for making our stay so special. We will return!

Fantastic fireplace and huge supply of wood. Well equipped kitchen and easy to cook in. Absolutely stunning views and peaceful location. You are in a mountain chalet and it feels exactly as we imagined. There are lots of little touches and you do feel the pride of the owners in many details. It was a perfect place to spend a family Christmas! The owner Andraz was very helpful and always in communication!

The staff were wonderful and very helpful - their English was also fantastic. The food was exceptional. The location was just far enough out of Kranj to be very peaceful and with a bus service just outside, it was very easy to get in and out of town and also to Ljubljana. I would highly recommend Hisa Ales.

Slovenia on the whole is one of the most beautiful countries...
Slovenia on the whole is one of the most beautiful countries we have been to. It was very lush and green and has beautiful mountains with little villages tucked away in between.
WE love our visit to to Ljubljana, Lake Bled and Postojna caves!!
Keeping in mind that this particular hotel location is quite far from the tourist attractions but extremely close to the airport.

Small town with a lot of historical buildings to see and...
Small town with a lot of historical buildings to see and stories to hear, also the tunnels built in the 2nd world war. There is beautiful nature in (rivers Kokra and Sava) and around it that you can visit.
I was there two years in a row in September and each time we had a shorter option of a guided tour. Only the tunnels were the same, other parts of tour were totally different - in a small city!

The location is absolutely perfect—nestled among peaceful farm fields at the base of the mountains, offering stunning views and a true sense of tranquility. The nearby town is convenient and charming, with restaurants, a supermarket, and all the essentials you might need. There's also a lovely community lake featuring a great playground and a designated swimming area, making it ideal for both kids and adults to enjoy.

Visoko has only two restaurants within walking distance of the apartment: Gostilna Logar (delicious steak and squid) and Kruhkerija Gorjanc (a 20-25 minute walk - most you can do along the river - but OMG so worth it to go there!). We got caught in a thunderstorm on our way and arrived drenched. We got a table - and towels to dry ourselves - and the best food (pizza rolls) ever... They do take-away too! The local Sports bar is just lovely too...

A stunning view on all over the country, lots of walking and hiking options in nature, and the air is amazingly fresh. Best choice for someone who needs to get away and enjoy nature and the mountains, just a 40–50 minute drive from the capital.

Beautiful small Old World Town.
Beautiful small Old World Town. Off the normal tourist path, so not crowded! Charming. Easy to walk around. Local pub had live music! Stayed just one night (before our flight) - could easily have stayed longer if our schedule had permitted.

Simona made our stay truly magical.
Simona made our stay truly magical. We got care that we have never experienced anywhere else. She was always available she prepared extremely tasty breakfast and dinner for us and helped us with everything. I didn't think there was such a level of professional care that a host could provide.
We loved every minute of it despite the bad weather.

Kranj is perfectly positioned city.
Kranj is perfectly positioned city. It is very close to highway, it is close to mountains (25min from ski resort) and is only 2h drive from the sea.
It has beautiful old town.
The capital, Ljubljana is only 30min drive.
