- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 229 reviewsBest pension in all of the Logarska Dolina! Firstly I have to say that Barbara was an incredible host, she helped us a lot and really made us feel at home. The room was very clean and quaint, it had everything we needed from comfortable beds to a really good bathroom. It was also quite spacious thus we had plenty of space to put our stuff. The facilities are really nice. They got a huge terrace and garden with an amazing view over the valley. The pension is located right in the center of the valley. Thus a perfect base for hiking and climbing the surrounding mountains. They also got a campfire spot outside but they only turn it on during the weekends or with special events. The food here is amazing. We had dinner both nights that we were here and everything was delicious! The ingredients are all locally sourced and they offer many traditional dishes (but also plenty of comfort food). The breakfast was also very good and especially varied, plenty of options. To conclude, we had an amazing stay at Hisa Ojstrica and I am sure that when I return to the logar valley, I will come back to this pension!Guest review byJulienNetherlands
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 10.0Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 8 reviewsOur host greeted us with genuine warmth, and that friendly welcome set the tone for the whole stay. The chalet itself is a gem – spacious, beautifully furnished, with well equipped kitchen. Our private sauna and jacuzzi became the perfect reward after a day of hiking. One of the loveliest surprises was the hideaway (smaller room) at the top of the chalet – clearly designed with kids in mind. Ours claimed it as their “kingdom” within minutes and spent hours up there in their own world. The surroundings are simply breathtaking. We rented a bike to explore the panorama and let the kids roam safely in the open space around the chalet. Just sitting on the terrace, soaking in the mountains and fresh air, felt like the ultimate reward. We would love to come back again in the future.Guest review byMarekSlovakia
- From ₱ 4,995.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 703 reviewsI wish I could leave here 11/10. This place is beyond perfect. Katja & Bostjan, their kindness, the view with the mountains, the pine trees, the super delicious breakfasts, the forest path behind the houses, the swing, the tic-tac-toe, the sculptures, the garden, the whole atmosphere is just amazing. I don't usually say this, because I prefer to visit new places rather than return to where I already way, but I do want to return to this place for a longer period of time. Our 1-3-5 y.o. kids also very much enjoyed being here. It was the highlight of our 9 days long cycle touring adventure. We will definitely return, and I highly recommend visiting this place to anyone, especially if you love mountains and forests and if you travel with kids (but it is also perfect without kids...). :)Guest review byÁrpádHungary
- From ₱ 13,921.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 81 reviewsI recently had the pleasure of staying at Apartments Pod Macesnovo Streho in Solčava, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The facilities were perfect—everything I needed was readily available, including a well-equipped kitchen that allowed me to cook my meals effortlessly. The staff was incredibly polite and welcoming, greeting me with a traditional Slovenian drink upon arrival, which made me feel right at home. The attention to detail and the warm hospitality truly made my stay memorable. I highly recommend Apartments Pod Macesnovo Streho for anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in Solčava. This accommodation is top-notch and deserves the highest recommendation!Guest review byFarhanszHungary
- From ₱ 5,995.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 423 reviewsBeautiful place and people. Sonja(host) and her team are extremely hard working and kind. The customer’s comfort and satisfaction is their utmost priority and they deliver it effectively. The view from the hotel’s room balcony is euphoric. Sonja(the host) is also a master craftsman, she has deliriously crafted artifacts and showpieces out of wood herself and your hotel rooms are decorated by them. The breakfast is splendid, don’t miss it !!!! The experience, hospitality, peace of mind outweighs the price you pay. In a nutshell , I LOVED IT !!!! If you do visit logarska dolina , do stop by “guesthouse S” , You won’t regret it !!Guest review byTanseerBahrain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsVery good breakfast, mostly homemade - jams, goat milk yoghurt, cheese, dry salami typical for the region ("savinjski želodec")... Upon request in advance there was dinner for 18 euros/person - very delicious. The farm makes really good goat milk ice cream, many flavors - I recommend trying it. Peaceful location, in the evening members of the family play zither. I recommend panoramic road "Solčavska panoramska cesta" - it is partially macadam, but broad enough for two vehicles to meet, and the views and farms on the way are definitely worth it.Guest review byAlenka BahovecSlovenia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 109 reviewsStunning location! Close enough to town that we could have resources for activities (bicycle rentals), but still felt like a quiet retreat to disconnect from our phones and enjoy the beauty.Guest review byCarlyUnited States

Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye.
Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye. We had coffee in the information centre in Solcava - staff were excellent. Did the scenic road looking down over the valleys - well worth the drive up and down.Guest review byDesUnited Kingdom - 6.0
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great.
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great. The grocery stores are severly lacking on fresh proteins. We cook alot and didn't like having to purchase plastic coated packaged meats. A decent butcher and pharmacy were at least 30 minutes away.Guest review byMary JoUnited States - 10.0

An excellent location for outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. The nature here is really beautiful and we visited this region several times. It also has several really nice restaurants with local specialties and organic food. This time we cycled to Pavličevo sedlo and along the panoramic road and went on a hike towards Matkov škaf. Last time we hiked to ancient cave Potočka zijalka and Ostrica mountain. We ate at the Majerhold mountain lodge below Pavličev sedlo, at the Žibovt farm by the panoramic road, and at the Ojstrica restaurant in the Logarska dolina. Everyone is very friendly. A bike or electric bike that can be rented is the most convenient means of transportation here.Guest review byMojcaSlovenia - 10.0

Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley.
Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley. The views are spectacular! The air is so fresh and crisp. It is very soothing for the soul. We hiked to Slap Rinka and drove the Panoramic Road. We would have liked to have more time for hiking and exploring. The only downside would be lack of restaurants. We were there in May, so I'm not sure if there may be more options in high season but we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner. The place we ended up was in Luce, Gostlina PR Lampi. The food was very good traditional Slovenian food and excellent wine. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was a joy to visit with.Guest review byElaineUnited States
