Quite a quaint town with a really nice old town area on the river. However, you wouldnt want more than a couple of days there. We struggled a bit with the lack of English and our Thai is sketchy, but people were very kind and helpful.

Great beach area, relatively quiet & family friendly.
Great beach area, relatively quiet & family friendly. Many good restaurants along the beach. More of a "locals" beach than international tourists, which is good.
Nearly is the Sea World - Dolphin shows - would recommend the trip to see these.
Take a drive along the coasts to visit little fishing villages & restaurants.
Lots of seafood.

The visit was principally in order to visit the Gem Stone market but there are plenty more places to see. The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is well worth a visit. A number of Temples are there too.

Good to visit the Catholic church and walk to the Chantabun walking market to experience local lives, food and snacks.
