United StatesTo get to the hotel, you have to go through the cafe and through the back. You wouldn't know that there was a hotel entrance out back just by being in the cafe. The hotel was very clean and the owners were extremely friendly. Your key card works at the cafe entrance as well when they are closed (11pm to 11am). My wife and I plan on staying here for one more night before leaving Koh Samui. Fisherman's Village is a really nice area to stay in Koh Samui and this hotel was in a very central location.

ThailandI love the quiet and stillness of the place. Reminds me of my childhood home where I used to stay in the mountains during summer breaks. It was cool though there's no AC built-in in the room. I love everything. It's a good thing that the owner was keen to observe the necessity of bathroom close to the room which they are building during our stay. We recommend the place to our friends. I hope they will love SZ Samui as we did.

Airport is close enough (10-15 mins). Room was very clean and spacious. Either the other guests were very quiet or the rooms are thick enough where you don’t hear everybody. Full balcony outside.

very kind and helpful. Location is not bad. There are local restaurants, coffee shop and convenient stores nearby. Traveling in Koh Samui will be super convenient when you rent a car bike which the manager can help you arrange it! Breakfast is not a buffet but it's a great quality dishes so 10/10 for me. Cleanliness and Hygiene is also perfect score. Thank you all staffs for making our stay a memorable one. Definitely come back again on my next Samui trip!

Palm Trees and Pristine Seas
One of Thailand’s most famous islands, Koh Samui (or Ko Samui) is a tropical paradise whose palm trees emerge from the pristine white sands at unbelievable angles, and whose offshore reefs make for great diving.
The most developed resort is Chaweng, though most bars and clubs are set back from the beautiful beach, so the views are still wonderful. Slightly less lively is Lamai, though its beach is no less impressive. Both of these resorts are home to a large number of Koh Samui hotels with private pools, a popular requirement of many visitors, despite the wonderfully warm waters.
Lipa Noi in the west faces Thailand’s east coast and has some beautiful sunsets, while the northern fishing village of Bo Phut is gaining in popularity. Nearby Mae Nam and Cheong Mon both have sweeping beaches that gently shelve into the sea, making them popular family choices.
Travellers don't go tot Koh Samui for its sights – but interesting attractions include the Big Buddha at Bangrak’s Wat Phra Yai temple, and the Wat Khunaram Ko Samui temple inland from Hua Thanon.

Absolutely everything! From the warm welcome, super nice explanations and showing around to the very last transfer to the airport. Everyone was super friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The villa was simply amazing, I was a bit nervous about the outdoor bathroom, but the feeling faded instantly and showering next to palm trees proved to be so nice! The restaurant was super cute, by the beach and there is really good food. We tried the Spa on a rainy day, which was a very nice experience as well. The SALA app is easy to use and being able to book transfer in different places on the island is a plus. Thank you for a great holiday!

From the moment we walked in it was outstanding, the room was spotless, spacious and had excellent amenities. The pool and beach area are amazing, the sun loungers are comfortable.
The team at the pool bar and restaurant are brilliant, every morning I was greeted with a smile and my favourite cappuccino with coconut milk. Two staff, Min and Lek were superb, a real credit to the hotel and made our stay extra special, always remembering what drinks and breakfast we enjoyed, explained the fish and food dishes available and spoke about the paddle boarding and kayaking facilities we could use.
Excellent location, within easy walking to the fisherman’s village.

It's amazing hotel, not new but in Thai style and we love it a lot! The room is amazing, at night you have the sounds of frogs outside. At the reception you can rent a bike for a few minutes, very comfortable. On the bike 4 minutes drive to the center, 5 minutes drive to the airport. The breakfast is amazing, great quiet private beach. Nice pool. We love it a lot!

I read a lot of reviews about the amazing beaches of Koh Samui. I tried many of them and I can tell with confidence that Chaweng was the best by miles. I was based in Chaweng and I though to check the other beaches. I walked all over Lamai, which is very panoramic, but there is a constant stink wherever you go and the beach inside has a lot of corals/rocks that will probably hurt your feet.
Crystal Bay was tiny, not comfortable because of the corals and overcrowded. I didnt see Fisherman Village beach while the others on the east side looked dirty. Choose Chaweng

Easily accessible, used Grab, taxi service to get around, reliable. Walked along the beach but you can only go so far as you then have to walk through the water which is waist deep. You can walk along the road. Nice restaurant called The Cliff if you want to treat yourself. Did 3 trips, the first was the island tour which visits temples, look out and waterfall. Second tour was to the elephant Haven, this was amazing, very sad when you hear the stories of how the elephants ended up there after being rescued. They do a great job. Third trip was to Pig Island and snorkeling. Pig Island was 1 hour which I thought was a bit too long, maybe just half an hour should be allocated. Snorkelling was great and the lunch which was included was beautiful.

We stayed over on Ban Tai, which was quieter with a beautiful sandy beach, almost no one around. I got a massage by the water with only the sound of the crashing waves which was the highlight on my trip. Great for families and good food all around.

We used Getyourguide & did a half day tour of the island which was really good, our tour guide told us loads, this also helped us tick lots of sightseeing of our list in less than a day. We were staying a short walk away from fisherman's village which was perfect because it was quiet but not too far to get a grab to Chaweng beach that we could swim in. Perfect location if you don’t want to be too close to the party.

Very friendly people and going to a night market is a great experience! Traveling across the island is easy but it may get a bit costly if you have to take a van for 6 or 8 people. Beaches on the east side are nice but busy. Beaches on the west are less crowded but may get narrow and untidy due to the tides. Overall we were missing the very long beaches with plenty of palm trees and powder-soft sand. Worth a visit are higher areas of the island in middle, e.g. Dee's Chilling Hill restaurant. Also going to the Ang Thong Marine park is very nice.

There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are AMAZING!! We did not want to leave our hotel. Some of the other rooms looked nice too but faced the garden walkway. One bungalow faced a concrete wall. You get what you pay for. Loved this place so much.

Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui.
Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning.
That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

The bed and pillows met our expectations.
The pool was huge!
Great for children or grown ups.
A very ambient,quiet resort set on the beach front.
The beach chairs are very comfortable and the best place to chill with a book or take in the amazing views.
The staff are super friendly and helpful.
The location is very peaceful and we ordered a taxi or grab to go to dinner in the evening.
We had drinks at the Hotel pub one evening.
Overall a great stay & value for the rates.
The breakfast was sufficient …eggs and fresh fruit/toast/pastries.
Handy if you have a motor bike to get around the Island as grab is expensive.
