United KingdomA wonderful hotel with everything you need. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Bottles of water and fruit replenished each day. Breakfast is fabulous up on the terrace with freshly made egg dishes to order. The spa is great - would highly recommend getting a massage. Hammam looked very inviting too (sadly we ran out of time to use it) The relaxation area was calm, quiet and the post massage fruit/tea was great.
Dinner was very good, again up on the terrace, with lots of local dishes to enjoy. Local wine list and other options too. Easy access into the medina area and also to get taxis to go exploring the wider local area.

If you are a history fan and like monuments or beaches, this will be your favorite destination. BUT There are some unmentioned rules: 1. Bargaining (the prices are higher than they should be, so do not forget to bargain) 2. NEVER buy anything from the stalls outside of monuments. They usually sell tooooo expensive, even if you bargain to a quarter of the price, it is still expensive. I had a very bad experience, unfortunately. 3. Be careful with your pockets and be aware of using your phone in the streets. 4. The prices in the cartage land are very good for buying handicrafts. 5. It is in a quiet area away from the old city which is always incredibly busy and noisy. The pool was beautuful as was the garden. Tunis is a pleasant city to visit, among others due to its friendly inhabitants. The Bardo Museum is a must-see whereas places such as Cathago and the other coastal areas of the city are worth visiting. The Medina was a bit run down, yet it was enchanting and it felt safe. La marsa beach was right outside our guest house.
La marsa beach was right outside our guest house. We could walk to the main part of the beach and the shops and restaurants. We were out of season, visiting during Ramadan so it was relatively quiet. Some restaurants were not open at all, some only during the day, others only at night. We managed to find somewhere to eat every day. I can recommend the Cliff restaurant, Pasta mi Basta (very accommodating with our friend who had various intolerances), Kenko food bar and Blu Blu (Sidi Bou).
