The owner of the hotel is a hot air balloon pilot and we booked through the hotel for the flight(Brothers Balloon). We got an amazing rate for the flight and as it was my husbands Birthday, they arranged a celebration with cake upon landing for him which was such a special touch and was truly appreciated!
The pilot made it a point to come and speak to us after the flight and asked how our stay at the hotel was going.
We booked our atv tour, hot air balloon, green tour all through the hotel directly which was extremely convenient and all included a pick up and drop off at the hotel.
The hotel is extremely clean and well organized for a new hotel. The location of the hotel made it an amazing view spot for the sunrise balloon spotting, with a few balloons flying directly over the hotel.
I would definitely recommend staying at Perla Cappadocia!

What remained the same after 1,5 year of my gap – friendly and helpful staff, magnificent breakfasts, lovely room interior, perfect cleaning. What changed - the cats got fatter 🥹 which to me is good news.
I just love this place, for me Seki and whole Kelebek group is associated with Cappadoce. I’m looking forward to come back soon again, and if i do I’m definitely staying in Seki

Stunning, unique landscape.
Stunning, unique landscape. Easy to walk around the town - it’s relatively small with not too much traffic. There are some great walks, although you need transport to get to some of them. If you can’t afford to do the balloon flights, the next best thing is to climb the hill with the Turkish flag on it (you can’t miss it) just before sunrise and watch the balloons from there - it’s worth getting up early for. There is a small charge to climb the hill as it’s on private land.

A number of small shops selling local produce and the usual souvenir shops. Is you want a lot of hustle and bustle choose somewhere else but if you want somewhere a little more chilled and authentic this is the place.

It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank.
There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. And fishing is also possible from the banks of the river.

Ortahisar is a beautiful little town. It’s quite quiet but a short taxi ride into slightly busier Goreme. I’m glad we stayed in Ortahisar though as it was much more relaxing and quaint. Hisarönü Restaurant was our favourite place to eat - fantastic food, lovely Cappadocian wine and shisha. We even got given a free slice of cake as it was the owners birthday. Highly recommend!

- Schedule the balloon ride at least one hour before sunset.
The red and green tour is a must to do also, but pay attention inside the stores they will guide you, it is everything more expansive in those stores.
If you are looking some asian food go to Quick China, reasonable prices and good quality, if you looking for some nice steaks, go to Wood Fire Steakhouse.
