We took the Japanese style room & the view was perfect, overlooking Sun Moon Lake. Room was spacious, new and comfortable. Both dinner & breakfast buffet spread was perfect. Onsen was great too. Nothing to complain about.

ThailandThe hotel is located very close to the lake, in a nice area full of street food booths and close to Sun Moon ropeway, which is an attraction that I highly recommend. The room itself was exceptionally clean and spacious. The breakfast was served in an elegant form of a fancy breakfast box, but there was buffet available as well in case the box was not enough. The staff were helpful and responsive on how to commute to the property. Great value for money.

SingaporeWe stayed for only 1 night between going to Sun Moon lake and Cingjing farm. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a rather luxurious bathroom with segregated toilet, shower and tub. The wardrobe was quite ingenious, sandwiched between the bathroom and the bedroom so it opens on either side and you can retrieve the clothes from it when changing in the bathroom. Hotel was very generous with the complimentary snacks (crackers, chips etc) and drinks (lemon tea, soft drinks, juice). The breakfast buffet has a big spread but unfortunately when we stayed, the whole town was doing a 5-day vegetarian fast as they were building a temple) so the breakfast were all vegetarian food

Lovely location, right near the rope way, and Ita Thao village and the wharf. Beautiful path next to the lake to work or ride a bike. Tall trees and lush undergrowth make it charming. The chalet we stayed in was quiet and partially hidden by trees. Breakfast is institutional but pleasant enough.

Love that the room could be heated up so we could enjoy walking around the room without a jacket, the toilet bowl was heated and would open whenever we walked past, it was novelty. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming especially at the front desk! :)

Lots of places to visit and things to do in Yuchi. Sun Moon Lake is a peaceful and relaxing place to chill. Especially enjoyed hopping on the boat to three different destinations to check out interesting spots and eat local foods.

The place can reach by driving, if you drive or have a driver and you like hiking, it has breath taking views and beautiful peaks. Star Gazing and sun rise are also some great activities. As it is in the mountain, it is very cold.

Puli is the smart place to base yourself if you want to...
Puli is the smart place to base yourself if you want to visit multiple attractions in the region (Sun Moon Lake, Hehuanshan, Qingjing Farm, etc).
It's a small but lively city with great food, hotels and transport. It has very few tourists as most just pass through it on the bus.

Visit the Endemic Species Research Institute - Ecology Education Park, the highlight of Jiji. See the earthquake damage at Jiji Wuchang temple. Rent a bicycle, visit the old train station, explore the countryside and stop to eat at the local restaurants. We loved the peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful lake, great local food at the night market and good cocktails and burgers at the Wyndham. Live music on the wharf most nights. Enjoyable ferry ride. All in all, a great, relaxing experience.

Nothing much to see at Qingjing. The farm was overrated, too many tourist, pathway was unkept, not meant to push a stroller & many steep steps. Only great for the cool weather. If you would want to visit, 1 night is more than enough

Sun Moon Lake was beautiful.
Sun Moon Lake was beautiful. Most memorable for us were the early morning walk from Yida Shao to the 9 frog stack and back , Wen Wu Temple (definitely a must-see) and the Yida Shao market (the street foods were fantastic).

Cingjing Farm is worth a trip. It has beautiful scenery.
Cingjing Farm is worth a trip. It has beautiful scenery. The kids love feeding the sheep and it's a very pleasant outing for the family. Do not miss the horse show. It is very skilfully done by expert riders. The skywalk is also worth a trip to admire the rolling hills and tea plantations. From the southern end of the skywalk, you can continue to Carton King via a fenced walkway. Not too long a walk. However, Swiss Gardens was a disappointment. Not many flowers, the lake water level was so low, and algae filled. Honestly, not much to see.
