Clean and comfortable; working AC and WiFi; big TV with Netflix and YouTube, working oven stove for cooking. Walking access to ATM, coffee shop, mexican restaurant, swahili restaurant and Kwetu Kwenu cafe for breakfast. Kwetu Kwenu Chill is a vibe at night with great food, music and a pool table, right on the ocean. Great place to relax and unwind.

Our stay at BT Cottage was a thoroughly enjoyable experience marked by exceptional hospitality and a serene atmosphere. The villas provided spacious, well-appointed accommodations with comfortable beds and a cozy living area, complemented by lush gardens and a shared pool. On our final day, we savoured a breakfast prepared by Chef Foared Gadson, featuring a diverse selection of fresh, expertly prepared dishes served on a rooftop terrace with breathtaking ocean view. The property’s thoughtful service, peaceful surroundings, and excellent value made it an ideal retreat. We wholeheartedly recommend BT Cottage for its welcoming hosts, tranquil ambience, and memorable dining experiences

Staff were incredibly warm and helpful and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We were surprised they had decorated the room and even left some beautiful (full size) skin care products as a gift. The room decor is also very thoughtful and functional. The hotel design is lovely too. You feel like you’re in the centre of the action too so its a great place to explore Stonetown.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten. The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

Fumba Beach Lodge is the closest place to paradise that I have ever experienced. For all those who cherish nature, calm and serenity, this is the place to go. Party people, stay away. By keeping wi-fi areas to a minimum, it really helps being in the moment and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The 4 course menu proposed in the evening is also very good. If possible, try to have a room in the first line in front of the sea, it is really worth it.

Genial - only 5 min away from the airport by taxi!

Genial - only 5 min away from the airport by taxi! Recommndable, if your plane is leaving in the morning. You have no stress that there might be a traffic jam, if you stayed in a more remote part of Zanzibar.

It is the gateway to Zanzibar when you had an early morning, late night or even a long flight just to relax. The establishments are helpful and so are the locals. You can take a cheaper Tuktuk or more expensive private taxi, spend about 20 minutes to Stone Town where you will be able to do many tours at or from. If you have never been on a Tuktuk it could be an opportunity to have a time of your life bumping and breaking as it pass thorough traffic. You also can choose to rent a car if you willing to drive there. Just remember that most roads are small and speed limit is lower than other countries. While you there, there are motorcycles, pedestrians, tuktuks and other cars that buzz everywhere, if you choose to rent a car. The wind from the open top part of the doors in refreshing. Note that the locals may not speak English as good as you, so speak slower and clearly. They are very helpful. There are supermarkets, restaurants, accommodations in different styles in Kiembi Samaki. You can book tours directly from there to other areas. Though I would advise to go further inwards the country once you are done with sightseeing. Then book a night just before your flight so that you are closer to the airport. I used a supermarket on the main road (Nyerere) to buy supplies. It is next to a Last Minute Safari offices. Just next to it there is a Hotel with restaurant. I used a mixture of Tuktuk and private taxi to commute. Make sure you have Tanzanian Shilling to be able to use around. Take the name of establishment, street and landmarks should you use a tuktuk so that you can explain when you come back. lastly, relax because Zanzibar is a very safe place. ofcourse caution is needed, but not like in many countries.

Very good location near very to the main road, to the Airport,Very near to the restaurant Zanzibari's Dishes, Italian Restaurant and Indian Restaurant as well and so on, Almost 10minutes to the Stone Town, Forodhani Garden and the city generally Also very near place to catch the private car or public car as some wishes and very quiet place, And what the most wonderful the Host are very helpful, friendly and very responsible to their guests and much more welcomed to their guests. We really had a good time and enjoyable time I shall be back soon there. I'm much more recommend to the Guests/Tourist to this Host House/Apartment Hakuna Matata.
