It was not as busy as some of the other resorts. We were able to relax and enjoy the quietness, but could also enjoy the warm swimming pool and amazing views. The food was great. I would recommend booking all inclusive or full board.

Room was very comfortable, clean, ac worked good, wifi worked from the room, the pool was nice with chairs and lots of places to relax.. The area were the room was looked is quite nice, very cozy with chairs and places to rest, lots of green, room was nice and quiet to sleep. The location is quite good, close to the beach, many restaurants around, many places to buy local products as souvenirs and also local fruits. The beach itself is very nice, my favorite in Zanzibar, the tide doesn’t affect it much and you can swim the whole day if you want, when the tide is low you can walk to Kendwa and is such a nice walk. Breakfast is quite good with friendly staff always around, water refills are free of charge. Also there is an atm around the corner. I would definitely come back.

We spent nearly a week at the newly opened KAI Zanzibar Hotel & Spa in Nungwi as the final stop of our honeymoon — and what a perfect ending it was! From the moment we arrived, the KAI team went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They personalized so many details for us, including a beautiful floating breakfast to celebrate our honeymoon. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which was absolutely stunning — and yet we still found ourselves admiring the gorgeous common pool area too. When we arrived after a long safari tour, I wasn’t feeling well, and the team immediately made me a fresh ginger tea. They even arranged a dinner takeout and brought it to our room so I could rest — it’s these thoughtful gestures that really stood out to us. The entire facility is peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. Our villa and pool were cleaned daily, and it was such a joy to come back to a fresh, welcoming space every day. Mounir and the whole team were so warm and attentive — they truly made sure we were looked after from start to finish. The location is great too — close to the beach and nightlife, yet tucked away enough for some serenity. We’re so happy we chose KAI for the final part of our honeymoon and we’d absolutely come back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a boutique luxury experience with exceptional, personalised service! Thanks again for this memorable stay 💗

Hands down the best hotel in beautiful Michamvi. Out of pure luck we were the only guests during our stay, which really made us feel like a queen and a kind. The place is amazing, with breathtaking views and and amazing sunset. The staff were all kind and friendly. Their kitchen is excellent at a very friendly price (a somewhat larger selection of meals would be a bonus). On top of all they let us do a late checkout without having to pay anything extra. Thank you Precious & Crew :)

Zuri Zanzibar turned out to be an outstanding choice. The bungalows are beautifully designed, surrounded by lush greenery, and provide a great sense of privacy. The housekeeping was flawless — our room was always spotless. The food was excellent. We tried the chef’s recommendation at Maisha every evening, and it never disappointed. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire resort. My husband had a stomach issue during our stay, and it was reassuring to know that the hotel has a doctor available on-site until 10 p.m. The beach is absolutely breathtaking, with turquoise water and soft white sand, ideal for long, relaxing walks. The ocean temperature was perfect, and the water was incredibly clear. Surprisingly, the difference between high and low tide is minimal. There are quite a few Masai vendors on the beach, but they were always polite and respectful. We actually enjoyed talking to them and learning more about their culture. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

The room is really beautiful, big enough for us. Equipment in the room is great,AC and vent was working, bed was good. The whole resort was beautiful and big and looked like a new. Way to the beach is through green yard full of green and lush plants. Beach is so long, you can choose sunbeds(with umbrella) for free, but they are too many so you have little space between them. Beautiful beach, great for walks, great for playing sports and great swimming. Friendly Masais at the beach,we had nice chat with them. Breakfast-they prepare a lot of food for breakfast, but I would say sometimes less is more. In overall it is great choice if you are looking for nice big place full of people. It is worth the money for sure(we had 3 accomodations so we can compare) you have nice big room, with nice garden and perfect beach. Location is great, near are restaurants, markets...

It was my birthday and I was surprised with a cake and staff sang for me including the live band during dinner.Very thoughtful and nice of them. By the time I retired to my room, another surprise was waiting. They made up the bedroom beautifully with flowers and candles and wrote a happy birthday with my name. The manager Rakeesh ( I hope I spelt his name correctly) was also very nice and arranged some entertainment at The Pavilion Restaurant . Upon checkout,we had missed breakfast and Benjamin was kind enough to offer us pizza. Thank you to all the staff at The Residence. You made my stay beautiful. Also the privacy of having your own pool was really nice.

Amazing location with the resort overseeing the beach just a few steps below. Clean picturesque sea view with mild low and high tides. The resort offers kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, spa and gym, choice of different massages and yoga sessions, all top notch. The staff (management to cleaning service personnell) is super-friendly, helpful and fulfílls all your wishes. The chef is a class of his own and it comes as a surprise Tulia restaurant does not have a Michelin star yet. Several interesting guided or ungiuded tours outside of the resort complete the experience. All in all, a really unique, amazing stay. Thank you!

Fantastic property, friendly and hospitable staff, good location, lovely beach. We stayed in the Villa with Private Pool. The size of the villa was big with two separate rooms and two showers. It also has a large sitting area outside next to the pool. The size of the private pool is quite big. We were half board. The food and variety at Breakfast & Dinner was good.

Very nice room and facilities, beautiful surroundings and helpful friendly staff. It was Valentine’s Day one day during our stay and the resort put on a very impressive dinner and show. So much food, deserts, red and white tablecloths with hearts on display everywhere, it was really nice and obviously a lot of effort was put into it.

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm. Because of the strong tides there's only water in the morning and the afternoon but it makes the beach very interesting and beautiful and gives the oportunity to walk far out and find seashells and starfish. The only downside to the beach is the many very insisting sellers who make it impossible to go for a walk without being approached.

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to Nungwi, especially the south part. Even in low tide it was easy to take a swim. Also the beach here is wider and feel less crowded. As on the complete stretch there were many people trying to sell you stuff but on the south part not so many ”permanent” sales people other than the ones having sheds. The Maasai roaming around are friendly but just say no with a smile and most will not be persistent in their effort to sell you something..

Michamvi is located approximately 65 kilometers from...

Michamvi is located approximately 65 kilometers from Forodhani, and the journey can feel quite long—particularly if you have just arrived in Zanzibar. The drive is somewhat uncomfortable due to the condition of the road, which consists largely of worn, uneven tarmac. Additionally, the area lacks local street food options, leaving nearby hotels—most of which are high-end and expensive—as the primary dining choices. As someone who genuinely enjoys the rich and flavorful cuisine of Stone Town, I found the food in the area to be rather bland and not reflective of its price point.
