VietnamI had a truly memorable stay at Cọ Retreat. The location is remote but incredibly peaceful – surrounded by mountains, forests, and overlooking the Da River. It's the perfect place to unplug and slow down.
The bungalows are cozy, clean, and thoughtfully built with natural materials. I especially loved waking up to the sound of birds and watching the mist roll over the lake in the morning – absolutely magical!
Staff were kind and helpful, always making sure we felt comfortable. Meals were simple but delicious, with fresh local ingredients and traditional flavors.
If you're looking for a place to relax, read a book, enjoy nature, or just breathe deeply – this is it. A hidden gem worth discovering.

The resort has beautifully furnished rooms in which you can find everything you need. The surroundings are also very nicely decorated with plenty of greenery and flowers. GermanyWe arrived as family of four with two bicycle and two children after dark and were immediately helped with all our luggage etc. In general, The personell was extremely helpful and nice to all of us. But exceptional was Mr. Xuan Long, who drove us around in the park and took care of us. He has an exceptional voice too and is a star singer. Thank you!!! The Meddom park was a new experience for us, the park is nicely set up with love in the detail. The room was small but had everything necessary. We felt comfortable and well remember our time in Meddom park and would like to come again. Thank you very much!

I found an absolutely amazing place for a getaway! This hotel is so beautiful, peaceful, and authentic – it's a dream come true!
The grounds are so well-kept, with so much greenery and flowers – it's a joy to walk around. And the food – that's a whole other story! Everything is so delicious, you could just lick your fingers! The juices are freshly squeezed, the real deal, not watered down.
The local rice wine in the clay pot is simply magical.
A photogenic infinity pool, a warm and clean lake. Cats on the premises.
It's better to come for a few days.
You feel right at home, only better! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace and true relaxation.

The resort is placed in charming scenery. Stag was friendly especially the receptionist David was really helpful and gave us all the information what we can do during our time in Serena. Room was spacious and clean. Pool well maintained and that was a pleasure to use it

I will give the maximum stars because I really wanted to rent a motorbike and it wasn't possible in the near area but the hosts we kind enough to arrange a motorbike for me which was wonderfull to ride around the mountains and nearby villages.

Beautiful location, we explored local caves, waterfalls, and hot springs as well as trying local restaurants, biking to breath taking viewpoints and the impressive rice fields within the mountain valleys.

City is big enough to feed and entertain you all the night.
City is big enough to feed and entertain you all the night. The dam is nice from every angle. Be aware foreigners need passport to buy a ticket to get there. Ba Vi park is nearby and fun to explore on motorcycle. The other side of the dam should be nice too, but we didn't managed to see everything in just weekend.

While staying at Mai Chau Sky Resort I needed medical attention and was taken to the local hospital, the staff at both the hospital and Mai Chau sky resort were incredibly caring and supportive, I cannot thank them enough. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle from Hanoi for a few day Mai Chau is a beautiful little province, it is a great place to start.... Not terribly touristy..... so you will love it......Had we have had the time we would have stayed longer.....
