The staff were friendly and despite having limited English all my needs were met. It's next to food places but you'll need a motorbike to get around as it's too far to walk into town. 5 min drive to town.

United KingdomFirstly the great welcome on arriving. My room was large with very good facilities and with a balcony - all for a very cheap price. The location was excellent within short walking distance of the river front, restaurants, the markets and the ferry over to the island. Tram the owner was brilliant - she spoke excellent English and was keen to help with any transport during and after my stay - she made my stay very welcoming.

I enjoyed my stay at Phuong Thao Homestay and on the beautiful island An Binh so much that I extended it to over 2 weeks!
The homestay manager, his wife and sister - who speak very good English - together with the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
The homestay is located about 3 km from the ferry to Vinh Long (10 minutes by bike). Nestled within a spacious, beautifully planted garden with lots of hammocks where you can unwind. My room (14) was in a "stone house" and I felt very comfortable in it - it was very quiet there.
Every morning, I was looking forward to the fantastic breakfast - in addition to the daily omelette with bread, you get a plate with different fruits. But the very best part - the different mouthwatering sweets 😋 every day. And to top it all, I could enjoy a swim in the pool surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the lodge that belongs to the homestay.
Together, it was a wonderful start to every day :)
The island An Binh is a scenic paradise, and exploring it by bike from the homestay was an adventure in itself. Short ferry trips to neighbouring islands and towns add to the charm of this wonderful location.
I had a truly memorable time on the island and at this homestay. Upon my next visit, I will undoubtedly choose Phuong Thao Homestay again.

It's have been like staying at home, comfortable rooms, friendly staff all time looking after you. They were great in our birthdays, they even bring us a cake with candles OMG. The staff helped us to book our way out of the island with amiability and great prices, they were awesome all our staying, thanks🙏.
Wide range of authentic vietnamese food, even we could try the famous Mekong's elephant ear fish.
Nice tours on boat along the delta and mang other facilities and amenities
Very friendly and familiar atmosphere; the whole family had a great time there.
If you are looking for a stress free and paceful place to enjoy the magical Mekong (specially sunset😉) that's the place.

This place is Eden: you reach the beautiful bungalows via bridges, leading over small canals that sourround them; everywhere are plants and flowers and you are invited to try and eat all the different and exotic fruits hanging from the trees. The pool is clean and nice and the hotel offers bikes and kayaks for free so that you can explore this beautiful Mekong-island by yourself.
The family is very nice and helpful and the food is very good.

The rooms and facilities were very clean and neat. The hosting family was more than sweet. We could use the bikes from the property, they helped us with scooters and we could ask anytime if needed anything. Food was great!
The island and the property is really quiet and relaxing.

Our family stayed at Nam Thanh Homestay and had a wonderful time. The food was wonderful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Everyone was so helpful. We had a wonderful boat trip of the area that was organized by the homestay.

What an interesting and wonderful area!
What an interesting and wonderful area! It's beautiful and there's so much to see - from the city itself with its very lively market, to the pottery area with its iconic kilns, to the adjacent island of An Binh, which is rural and very beautiful. We ended up changing our plans to stay in the Vinh Long area several days longer.

Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike.
The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh.
We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.
