Set against limestone hills, The Banjaran provides a peaceful wellness retreat with its geothermal hot springs and a naturally heated swimming pool. A steam cave and ice baths are also available. Don't know where to start; simply magical experience from start to end. It was all the innovative, quirky little touches for me! From the luxurious breakfast with a champagne corner and unique options like ochazuke, to the many interesting caves you can explore and chill at, to the stuffed tigers placed around the resort to "scare" the monkeys away, to the many delicious offerings like whole pomelos to chocolates to the thoughtfulness of the staff... and so on and so on! We really didn't want to leave, and we truly rested SO WELL here. Oh, and when I made reservations at Jeff's Cellar (the on-site restaurant IN A CAVE) and let them know it was my friend's birthday, the staff not only celebrated it at the restaurant but decorated our room as well! The fine dining experience is not to be missed too, by the way. Though both the stay and the dinner were not cheap, they were truly worth every penny!

TUI BLUE The Haven Ipoh , Ipoh offers air-conditioned suites in Ipoh. It features a 5-level swimming pool and guests can enjoy meals at the in-house restaurant or have a drink at the bar. Amazing hotel, huge rooms, clean, incredible location next to the jungle! A last minute booking due to change of plans and we wished we were there for longer. The staff are so friendly and professional, always with a smile! In the morning, we saw wild monkeys and in the evening if you are lucky you get to meet Billy, the monitor lizard! Incredible experience and highly recommended!

This is a hidden gem of a resort in Ipoh, nestled amongst the rainforest valley and a private golf course 😍 The privacy here is excellent, with very good cellular reception and WiFi, enabling business travellers to work overlooking a beautiful scenery 👍🏽 They also had a delegated parking for guests which is quite rare. The staff are friendly and there are basic amenities 10 minutes away (petrol station, convenient stores, street food, etc.) just outside the golf course.
