  First off, the staff were great! I have no issues there. My problem crawled across the floor. They refunded the stay and sent me on my way. I know crawlers are a pain, and they said they just sprayed the week before, but I'm not staying in that. And again, the staff were great!

  The location is fabulous . The beach , sea views and sunsets amazing. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat there.

  When we arrived we were allocated a room with no outside space . It was also pretty shabby. We had paid for a better room so I did go to reception and say( something I never do) Reception staff were very good and immediately said they would move us to a room with outside space as booked. Unfortunately when I went into that room it was not clean - old bath towels on floor and in shower. I went back to reception and said it wasn't clean and was a bit smelly. I presumed that was because of wet towels. Actually it was because of a really strong stench bad drain smell . Next morning I went back to reception and said the room had a horrible smell. Again reception were good said a cleaning team would go in . They did and it was slightly better but the smell returned. To be honest the room was just about uninhabitable. We went out for whole days and spent as little time at the hotel as possible. We even went to Rhode Island for the day and just decided to stay over there. Generally the hotel looked run down and badly maintained. Communal areas in the accommodation blocks did not look clean and decor was worn and in some places in desperate need of repair. There is clearly an issue with the drains certainly affecting Room 301 that needs proper attention from drain specialists. It's a real shame . It could be a lovely resort but it does not merit a 4 star rating and we would not recommend it to anyone
