  Staff were friendly and helpful towards my girlfriend and I, which means a lot to me! The property was always clean and I loved that they always had water and fruits in the lobby area. We also got two bottle waters daily and room cleaning if we needed it or just towel changes. Location is perfect, very close to Times Square, Port Authority Bus Station and numerous subway stations. I also loved that’s it’s black and LGBT friendly. Lastly, we felt very safe because in order to use the elevator you have to insert your room key before pressing which level you’re on. Without that room key, you aren’t able to use the elevators. Really enjoyed our stay!

  Our key card gave trouble, but it turns out it wasn’t only happening to us, other guests were having the same issue. We just tried both key cards more than once and it would usually go through on the third try.

  If you are looking for a genuine Route 66 1960s experience this hotel is it. It has a wonderful pool area surrounded by cabana rooms. There’s a great old illuminated neon sign at night. The rooms are old - but that’s the vibe. If you don’t like genuine 1960/70s this is not for you. The beds are comfortable. It’s really clean. There are nice details like old novels in the rooms. The air conditioning worked well. There is a breakfast served in the lobby included in the room rate. When we checked in the welcome from the young man behind the desk was first rate.

  Just note the lift to the first floor isn’t working. It wasn’t an issue for us - if you think it’ll be a problem for you book a cabana room.

  Great place, very special and cute, very nice experience. We went in August - it was very hot. If you go to Palm Springs I recommend you stay here. The host Alfredo is extremely nice and friendly and gives recommendations on the area. On the night of arrival he made us a grapefruit cocktail as he wanted us to taste something special.

  The front desk person who checked us in was extremely helpful and kind. We had our flight cancelled and he helped us in all kind of ways. Let us have late check out, water, separate beds for our children’s room as we had booked a double bed . Thank you for making a bad experience a good one!

  The reception desk staff was exceptional, both in the evening and during the day. I was totally surprised by the excellent quality of the food, as well. There was a large convention there that weekend, so toward the end of the breakfast hour, they were a little short on the "grab n go" food, but the wait staff was both helpful and polite, and on all three of the evenings I stayed there, I also ordered dinner from the kitchen, and it was very good.
