Location, our room was next to street, out of 5 nights 3 nights couldn’t sleep due to people shouting outside in the middle of night and people living upstairs banging on floor at 11pm every single night, basically thin walls and no noise barriers. Not restaurant , no breakfast on site, had to go out or buy .

Not a lot of room to get into the bathroom. Found it quite difficult to close the door. Floor in the room could've been cleaned more by the time we left it was quite dirty. Mini bar items could've been less so as you could fit other items in their, no space in the door of the fridge to store milk etc. Would've been lovely to have had a drink beside the pool but was closed due to no fault of their own.

Very close to the cbd and esplanade. Reception staff were lovely. Pool area was great.Room was good. Beds very comfortable.

Restaurant closed. Car park closed. Only informed of the above after it was too late to cancel. Single glazed windows meant lots of traffic noise from the busy street. Rooms were a bit tired and dated.

No off street parking. Lighting in room very low. No reading light beside the bed. Fridge very small with no freezer compartment.

We arrived at 2 pm , room was not ready, very loud bin emptying at 6.30 am. Not being given wifi password on check in . I had to call reception to get this. The nearly $6 surcharge for credit card use Restaurant closed and construction noise

I had chosen a hotel, I as I would be on my own for some of my stay, that had a restaurant for breakfast and dinner. I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed. Also the lack of onsite parking was annoying

Renovations but understand it has to happen sometime. More coat-hangers would have been appreciated. There were only 3 hangers for 2 people in room 315.

The bathroom air vent was very dusty. I couldn't work out the TV remote very well and there were no instructions that I could find.

Bed was comfortable and linen was very nice. I liked that there was a couch to sit on also. The bathroom was in very good condition.

Needs a face-lift, bit outdated, but seems it’s happening as the restaurant was closed for reno. Breakfast was served in Novotel, very close, across the road.

The compromise on price and location was to give up a view - there was none - in fact the lower half was a wall of the neighbouring business.

I chose the Mercure as a place that could provide a 2 bedroom place with kitchenette at a reasonable price and good location close to the shops/cafes/waterfront/marina. It met my requirements in all of that. The 2-bedroom layout suited us - kids and kitchenette in one and adults and bathroom in the other, and there was enough space so we didn’t feel crammed in (like often happens in family rooms).

The room was dated,compared with reception. The toilet seat was broken. There were not enough coffee pods for the coffee machine. No phone in the room. Just, a couple of things that were noticed. Room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Staff were great.

Bathroom was little tight to get into going to shower or toilet the way door opened but was ok. Little noise from hallway and when next room had water on. Restauarant was not open due to renovations. Had to go buy food already prepared as nothing to cook on or microwave.

Room was clean , front desk was friendly and could check in a bit early. Bed was comfy and soft. Located next to Aquarium was short walk to main street for food. Stayed 1 night only before catching plane .Good tea and coffee milk supplied. Good room to reat in , big tv nice couches .Mini bar also.
