Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomA couple of very minor things, on checking in (on Thursday) I booked a breakfast , which is extra, just for the Saturday morning. When I arrived at the restaurant on Saturday morning they didn’t have my booking, which caused a bit of an embarrassing delay with a queue building up behind me. It eventually got sorted and I was shown to a table. Now the restaurant is quite large and I had read beforehand that the breakfast was a buffet style. Once I had been seated a young chap took my drink order and preference for toast and that was it. I was then left wondering if breakfast would be brought out to me, would somebody be coming to take my order ? From where I was sat I couldn’t see any form of buffet. It was only when a different waiter was welcoming another table that I overheard him say there is a Buffett down to the left just around the corner, help yourself to various cereals, fruits and hot food. Once that hurdle was over the food itself was delicious.
This hotel is spotless and the location is excellent, stayed here for a few nights during the world snooker shoot out which was held at the tower and it’s literally a few minutes walk. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Blackpool, from little B&B’s to the Hilton and the Imperial and have to say the Ruskin is hands down the best. My single room had a double bed (which I believe all their singles have), Fluffy carpet looked like it had just been laid that day, en-suite was spotlessly clean and no issues with running hot water for the shower in the morning. Bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities with a little pull out tray full of various teas, coffees and milk and sugar etc. There is a bar near reception which I think is a public bar but again beautifully decorated and staff were really friendly, had couple of pints in there between the afternoon and evening sessions of the snooker one day. There is also nightly entertainment in a large room behind reception, I only caught the last half hour or so of the final act on the Friday evening but the singer was very good and had nice rapport with the crowd, getting everyone up dancing. I see there is what didn’t you like section and I’m going to pop a few minor things in there , very minor which didn’t at all detract from the quality of my stay, the snooker shoot out is back in Blackpool next December 2026 and there is nowhere else I will be staying, it will be the Ruskin for sure.

United KingdomThe breakfast was exceptional, plenty to choose from. We also had bar snacks, which were very tasty. The staff were very friendly and chatty. We only had B&B, so can't comment on dinner. Overall we had a great time. Already booked for next year with the 10% discount before we left.

United KingdomI didn’t like my room this time No 123 it was very noisy from the outside fans, I think from the kitchen. I asked to change rooms but only had an upgrade to a twin for £40 extra so I didn’t bother. I have always had room 129 in the past and love this room but it was a last minute booking so had to have what was left.
Everything is very nice and homely. staff always very pleasant and ready to help.
