Just tiny things, soap dispenser in the bathroom was grimy and swung round on the wall when you tried to use it. Risotto in the restaurant was very tasty but a tiny bit dry.

Location was great and staff were excellent. Christmas decorations made the whole place look magical. Room was beautiful, gorgeous bath in the bedroom with separate shower room.

No parking. Available nearby for £14 for 24hours. Street parking (payable) also available . Bar prices were up there!

Room lovely but could benefit from a bit more attention to detail. Soap and shampoo dispensers need an extra screw added to stop them spinning round when you use them; pillow cases on inside out - only minor things but would improve things.

Staff lovely. Had an issue with no heating but manager offered alternative accommodation and found a heater.

Staff were SO kind. When they noticed that my partner was upset they came and asked if there was anything they could do to help. Very much appreciated. Lovely big room, comfy bed. Gorgeous shower.

Our room over looked the square and there were some loud students going home at 4.00am. To be expected in a uni town and no reflection on Borough.

Location is great. Parking nearby on Ringo. The bar has nooks and is comfortable with a good choice of beer. The food was traditional pub fare very well done. We really liked this place.

2 TVs in the room, one remote controlling both. Turn on one TV both came and vice versa. Carpet is i ndire need of a shampoo

I couldn't find anything I didn't like. The room was outstanding, The bar was a great place to chill and relax, and the restaurant and food was top class.

It is a beautiful hotel with a great public bar and restaurant. The location is central for exploring Lancaster. The hotel staff were all outstanding. I will definitely be back to stay at the Borough.

Steps down to the bathroom might be an issue for some but probably just our room as we were on the ground floor.

The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. Despite lots going on outside it was very quiet.

Friendly staff on arrival, and good atmosphere in the pub area. Room was spacious and clean. The only thing about the room was the high temperature, but can be turned down if you asked the staff. No noise from other rooms or from outside and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was one of the best we have had. Location is really good, short walk to the shops.

Difficulty booking direct on the website. It may have been fully booked but when I contacted the hotel on 27 Oct through the website message system, I had no reply. So had to book through Booking .com.

Not a great dining experience so we wouldn’t recommend it for having a meal there.Had to send mine back as it wasn’t cooked properly.However the staff dealt with the problem very well and there were no bad feelings.

The suite was very spacious and comfortable and the shower was good.Ideal location and staff were very friendly and helpful.
