Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaA Peaceful Hidden Gem in Megalochori. During my visit to Santorini (9–15 October), I stayed in three different villages, and without a doubt, Caldera Caves in Megalochori was the most aesthetically pleasing and soul-soothing of them all. From the moment I stepped inside, I was amazed by the elegant interior design, spacious layout, and the calm, welcoming aura that fills the entire space. It’s one of those places that feels like a retreat, so beautiful that on some days, I didn’t even want to leave to explore! Megalochori itself is an absolute treasure. It’s a peaceful, traditional village that has preserved its authentic Greek charm, cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses, and blooming bougainvillea at every turn. Unlike the busy areas of Oia and Fira, Megalochori feels intimate and serene, with very little foot traffic, making it perfect for those seeking relaxation and authenticity. The location is perfect, just a short walk (about 0.9 km) to the famous “Heart of Santorini” viewpoint and right in front of the village square, where you’ll find lovely local restaurants and cafés to enjoy a true taste of Greek cuisine. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with a variety of options each morning. A special mention goes to Justine, who prepares and serves breakfast with genuine warmth and care, her hospitality truly makes you feel at home. Everything about my stay was exceptional, from the stunning design to the tranquil setting and heartfelt service. I would return in a heartbeat. Location 10/10. 💙

!!!! AN AUTHENTIC GREEK HOUSE EXPERIENCE !!!!!! LOCATION- Nestled in a traditional Greek community with nearby SUPERMARKET and a GREEK RESTO just outside the door. It has a nearby charming blue dome church with a bell on the side. The pictures on the website are on point (maybe even better when you're there already) STAFF- The housekeeper did a great job in keeping the whole apartment clean. If you are meticulous or OCD, this is the place for you! Cristina, our host was very accommodating, warm and easy to communicate with. She makes sure all our needs are met. She will give you a tour around the apt which is very helpful. AESTHETIC- A feast for the eyes. Great for insta posts. Especially the jacuzzi. Breakfast- great selection. There is coffee machine with pods, water and tea in the room. Ammenities- Bathroom has good water pressure and temperature. They also have bathrobes. They offer posh bathroom kits. They have TV for Netflix and great wifi. PRICE- Great Value. General area surrounding feels safe and the gate has CCTV. Perfect for solo travellers, group of friends (3 max), and the best for couples. Ambience provides the best sleep. It definitely broke our hearts when it's time to leave.

We enjoyed our stay here, and Megalochori is a charming place. The property is beautiful and clean, equipped with the most necessary things for a short stay (Coffee and mineral water is also provided). Free parking lot is also available nearby.

ChinaIt is recommended for future tenants (most especially for short stays) to rent their preferred transportation as taxis are expensive and riding public buses are not convenient. Parking could also be an issue.
The location is great for people wanting more privacy and quiet. The cave room is so cozy and comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and helpful, most especially Suella, who made sure we had earlier breakfast. The food was sumptuous.

IrelandA very minor issue we had was figuring out place to store our luggage on the day of leaving - as this was a BnB type of property without a reception. Although in the end we got it sorted in a nearby shop.
Vivian was very good to us. The breakfast was one of the best so far we had in Santorini - especially the (Greek?) coffee. The BnB has a nice touch and very thoughtful design. Rooftop jacuzzi was very relaxing and in fact the warmest jacuzzi we had been to in Santorini with a lovely view of the blue dome church.

I recently stayed at this location and was absolutely blown away by the experience. The property has a well-deserved 9.5-star rating, but in my opinion, it truly deserves a perfect 10 stars! Everything about this place exceeded my expectations, from the immaculate cleanliness to the exceptional service and beautiful surroundings. I find it hard to believe that anyone could find fault with this property. I encountered no issues during my stay—everything was perfect! The attention to detail, the comfort of the accommodations, and the overall ambiance were simply outstanding. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a flawless experience. If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate—you won’t regret it!

United KingdomWe were greeted by the very friendly Vivian upon arrival. She had helped organise a taxi to collect us from the port and was only a WhatsApp message away throughout our stay should we need help with anything. The room was absolutely beautiful, very clean and spacious, with lots of lovely interior design details. It was also lovely and cool despite the scorching temperature outside. The breakfast, served outside in the beautiful courtyard, was delicious. Several good restaurants just outside the gates and a mini market down the road. We would love to come back!

Arrived to the fabulous greeting from Vivian. What a beautiful place and superb room. Just as pics look on Booking.com. We had dinner booked by Viv plus a taxi transfer to the ferry port below and were not disappointed. . Breakfast was great served outside. The village is charming 15 mins away by taxi from ferry to other Islands . We would go again in a heatbeat .

New ZealandI was double charged when I booked my room and it took a long time and several emails for the extra charges to be reversed - the amount I received back was less than what I had been charged as the international exchange rate had changed
The apartment was very spacious, with thoughtful decor and spotlessly clean. It has a great location in the centre of the village, with lots of lovely restaurants on the doorstep

Literally everything, first of all Kimon was super helpful, he made the check in process much easier. He gave wonderful recommendations, and made our stay very special. Our suite was stunning, very clean and comfortable. We were celebrating our anniversary and Kimon helped us make great reservations! The art and wine restaurant next to the hotel was also recommended to us by Kimon, and OMG! You must try their ceviche! We used the jacuzzi and it was clean&hot! The breakfast was delicious as well. Thank you everyone for making our special day so romantic!
