How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. My room was near the pool so during busy time I’m sure there is noise from other guests.
Location is unbeatable if you want a place that is away from the busy area. Nico at front desk was exceptional in giving us a quick overview of island and recommendations. Room was cleaned everyday and was clean, beds were comfortable.

Room was very spacious with all amenities. 5 min walk from Fira bus station with restaurants and supermarkets near by. Host was really helpful with providing island map, bus timings and other suggestions which made our trip more easier and comfortable.

Great location, in a side street very close to the bus station, bars, and restaurants. The room had a small balcony. Breakfast is not included, but Pelican Kipos was recommended and was lovely. Good value hotel for Fira. Would stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at San Giorgio! The property was clean and near to all restaurants, bars and shops. Less than a minutes walk to everything you need. The staff were amazing!! They couldn’t do more to help, when they found out we were staying for our wedding they left a bottle of wine in each of the 5 rooms we had booked. They were always going over and above to help and everyone was so friendly and kind. We would definitely recommend!!

Highly recommend - we had a perfect stay! The family owned hotel is directly in the center of Fira and everything is easy to find. The rooms are modern, well equipped and quiet. Everyone was very helpful and they provided us with a lot of information about Santorini, restaurant recommendations, and where to find the bus station.

Loved this property- the staff were exceptional and only too happy to help with anything. The room was gorgeous and had all the amenities we needed. Even though we were by the pool it wasn’t too noisy. Great location in Fira. Easy walk to the bus station and great food right on your door step.

Very cute hotel in the center of Fira, good for people that want to be at the busy city centre with restaurants and bars just few meters away. Ithe Hotel t’s tucked away in a small alley so it is tranquil at the same time. The guy at the reception was extremely polite and helpful, like everyone in Greece hospitality!

The rooms are incredible, bath and shower in the room! They are very modern and have the vibes of Mykonos/Tulum/Bali. The front of house team were even better, so friendly and informative of the local area. The location is also great, very central yet quiet on a night time. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on Santorini now!

Maybe block out blinds on the windows and a sign to advise housekeeping that they didn’t need to make up our room.

In the night , close the windows, you can hear music coming from Fira center. When you close the window, you won't hear.
It is in the center of Fira, location is great. The stuff is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean and stylish. Highly recommend it.

Again, I can’t complain about anything! It was perfect.
The property was clean and located in the heart of Fira. I continued to extend my stay in Santorini, and the staff was very gracious in letting me stay additional nights, with clear communication on room availability.

Everything was great! However, the doors aren’t soundproof, so I’d recommend bringing earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.
The location was right in the center, but parallel to the main street, so it was quiet at the same time.
