Need block out curtains as you can not sleep in a room that is light. Like most of Scandinavia there is only heating and no air con so it is hot and did not feel safe opening windows for a cool breeze with a staircase right out side. Restaurant was closed which was disappointing,

Gorgeous old hotel that has been decorated beautifully. Walking distance to the Main Street and also the water side. Lots of street parking that is free.

The hotel is located in an old building, which means wooden floors squeak and bathrooms are tiny. Bathrooms could use an update, especially the showers which seem moldy.

The rooms ared a bit in need, especially the bathroom. The restaurant was closed even in the middle of the summer and as thee town onmlky seems to cater to day tourists no decent food.

The rooms in the annex cottages are quite small - OK for us since we didn't really spend much time there. The annex cottages could benefit from some more aesthetically pleasing decor. The floors in the halls & rooms all have grey "office-looking" carpets. (Probably easy to maintain but do not give a great first impression). Also, the plain green doors seem out of character - propose a white coat of paint & maybe even some decor to fit better with the otherwise nice-looking cottages. A little additional touching up could go a long way... All the above proposed as improvements but overall a very enjoyable visit!

The very high price according to service ! If you pay nearly € 200 / night. You are waiting to get at least a very good selection of breakfast!! It was a standard ! My wife was asking for the porridge. She got after they cooked. Nice. Next morning she asked again. "We don't have" said the younger black haired waiter ! Day, as we came, about at 12.30 noon, this same lady was in reception. We asked about our booking. She said, "not before 3 o'clock" We came back at 2 o'clock, there was an other lady. We got the room just like that ! We are an older couple. For as was the stairs to narrow to climb up. There isn't any lift.

The beds were a bit too hard for our preference.

Location was perfect in the middle of town with everything within walking distance. Plus a quiet garden on the back. Breakfast was excellent with a lot to choose from. The interior was a mix of restored old fashion and modern design, which created a cozy feeling of home away from home. Great cleanness and service from staff.

We couldn't sleep because the walls were so thin. We could hear the guests next door talking, snoring and using the bathroom. Breakfast to 10 and not 11.
