Great welcome Parking place at the entrance. The room and attached bathroom were spotless and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Qiiet and I slept like a baby. Breakfast was nice. Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, views of the river and free use of bicycles, Chateau des Grotteaux Près Chambord is set in Huisseau-sur-Cosson in the Centre Region. We rerouted our trip just to stay at this amazing property. It far exceeded even our highest expectation! The property is beautiful in a stunning location. The host told us the history of the property that is fascinating. Sitting in the living room at night before the fire the host set in the fireplace after we returned from dinner was one of the greatest experiences of our trip. The breakfast was also fantastic. We purchased the book that shared the history of the property and their story of how they acquired it and restored it. Don't miss this property. It's a lifelong memory.

Way outing the country, this custom-built add-on to a farm is exquisite. Spacious, cleverly designed and elegant. The super-king bed is super-comfortable. We were there in deep winter, but the room was very cosy. Excellent walk-in shower. Madame takes very good care of guests, and serves an outstanding breakfast, with home-made yoghurt and jams. 15 minutes from beautiful Chinon where we enjoyed a top class dinner (au Cafe Chaud).
