Das Hotel Marina liegt nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt und bietet Unterkünfte in Monterosso al Mare im Nationalpark Cinque Terre. The staff was very kind and even greeted us around town, the room was very well kept and clean and most importantly very homey. We felt right at home! The breakfast was also excellent, with a small buffet of cakes and desserts and a menu of various dishes, both savory and sweet, all very well-made and in generous amounts. Breakfast was also served in a truly wonderful terrace full of lemon trees which made the experience even more beautiful. The free beach was also a 5-minute walk away and we could always find a space for two towels in the afternoon, which meant that when coming back from exploring the other places we could always put on our swimming suits and go snorkeling (very recommended since the water is crystal clear and full of small fish). We could also borrow their beach towels which was very useful. The way from the train station was a bit uphill (although the whole town is full of ups and downs) but overall pretty quick and full of restaurants and souvenir shops which can come in very handy. We definitely recommend the affiliated restaurant "Da Eraldo" for some good quality fish and seafood and "L'Osteria" for some good local food; the staff of both of these was also very friendly and very willing to make some small talk. We also recommend the trekking trail "Sentiero Azzurro" but be aware that there are some pretty long uphill stairways so start early in the morning if you're planning to go there in summer. Overall our stay was wonderful and there were no complications, truly a wonderful place to spend a couple of days!

Das Baba Residences liegt in einem Park, 5 km vom Zentrum von Alassio und 110 m vom Strand entfernt. I liked everything. The view is incredible. The bed really comfortable.

Nur 250 m vom Strand entfernt begrüßt Sie in Monterosso al Mare das moderne Hotel Margherita mit einem ruhigen Innenhof. Sehr schönes kleines Familienbetriebenes Hotel. Die Lage sehr schön im Zentrum, wo man bequem jedes Restaurant oder Geschäft erreichen kann. Bahnhof in ca.10 Min. erreichbar, was das Reisen mit dem Zug sehr angenehm macht. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Auch bei allgemeinen Fragen : Cinqueterrekarte, Zugverbindungen usw. wurde uns gerne geholfen. Sehr zu unserer Belustigung war das abendliche Froschkonzert, welches vom nahegelegenen Wasserlauf zu hören war, also Natur pur. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und sollten wir wieder in der Nähe sein, gerne wieder.

Das Hotel Villa Adriana begrüßt Sie nur 100 m vom Strand Spiaggia di Fegina entfernt und ist von Palmen umgeben. This was a very pleasant surprise. I booked Villa Adriana on short notice and I realize I got super lucky as I can now see why this place has a high demand. Perfect location a stone's throw away from the beach and right before the road becomes steep, so quite comfortable to walk. They have parking which was a blessing. Loved the vibe of the place, the building, a neat garden, nature around, a very nice and welcoming staff at the front desk and the restaurant. Simple and comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms, a balcony to relax after hiking... or to hang your gear to dry :D Overall, great base for hiking Cinque Terre, a short walk from the Monterosso train station and a bit longer to the center of town, yet, a very pleasant stroll along the coast. Very friendly staff, a hearty breakfast with a lot of options (for Europe) and dinners that are great value for money in such a touristy area. I hope I can come back soon.
