The view from our room was amazing. The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

Das Quinta Vilar e Almarde bietet eine rustikale Unterkunft in Castelo de Paiva. The location was remote but perfect for a getaway. Lovely gardens and swimming pool. Local village about 10 minute drive away with a number of restaurants available. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Quinta de S.Bernardo - Winery & Farmhouse is offering accommodation in Mesão Frio. Among the various facilities are a garden, a terrace, as well as a shared lounge. This is probably the best positioned hotel in all of Douro valley as you are down by the river. It's beautiful and peaceful and you're surrounded by nature. The hotel staff is super helpful and professional. The hotel offers activities like kayaking and stand up paddling. We stayed in the villa which had incredible views and slept so well. I'm recommending this hotel to all of my friends!

This is a very beautiful small and family hotel. The stuff and especially Angela was so nice and so helpful we just fell in love. She was absolutely amazing and helped us a lot in making reservations for restaurants and tours. The food was also very good and the rooms are very well maintained.

It’s a 800 year old building but in pristine and very chique furniture & design. It has recent expansion and it is top quality walls, bedroom & bathroom. The view from rooms, lounge, patio, pool, and dining room is pristine like a painting. The owner and those that work there are incredibly friendly, kind & accommodating. We felt like they were family’s The dinner, wine & desserts were top of the line. I highly recommend the place and if ever visiting Portugal, will stay again!
