Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!

Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food ligger i en historisk herregård omgitt av en hage og vingårder, og vender ut mot den naturskjønne elvedalen Douro. The place is fantastic, better than we expected! Great staff and warm welcoming, they service us their homemade excellent port when we arrived. The room is very spacious and charming with elegant antique furnitures, great atmosphere! The dinner was amazing! Great food and wine, they were very kind to serve us with another pre-drink of port, lots of great red wine during the dinner and with a 40years port after dinner. Breakfast is also nice and fresh! Quinta Vilar e Almarde offers rustic-style accommodation in Castelo de Paiva. Luis and his wonderful wife couldn't do enough for us, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are lovely and spacious. This establishment is family run, and Luis and his wife run it like a finely oiled machine! I would highly recommend this accommodation. Calm and relaxing. It's truly amazing!!! 10 stars ++++

It was a brilliant location, Angela and her team really gave us great service, with Angela helping with local things to do, even gave us a ride to the train station which was a great option to get into Pinheo (?) , we were spoiled as we were the only guests but there were so many areas both inside and out, the food was brilliant and the views were amazing too,

Quinta de VillaSete har gratis WiFi og ligger i Alpendurada. Du kan benytte deg av gratis sykler, fellesloungen og terassen. Everything was amazing. The host and staff are great. Very welcoming. The villa is beautiful, clean and maintained very well. We took our 6 month old on her first vacation in Portugal and we definitely recommend it! Rental car is not necessarily a must because they can provide transportation services, but it makes things a lot more accessible.
