First of all - the amazing view from the balcony. Simply breathtaking. We didn't even switch on the tv while staying there for 3 days, we just stared at the waves... The room was spacious and super clean, nicely decorated. The food!!!!! We got halfboard option and it was the best decision. Both restaurants were amazing, the dinner for me was a day ending adventure of itself every day.

Really nice hotel in a central location of Porto Moniz and has a small parking lot (probably gets busy quick in high season but there is paid lots nearby for 5 Euros a day). The pool on the top of the roof is lovely and has an amazing view. The room was really modern, with a balcony over looking the water and really clean. The breakfast was really nice. The staff was awesome, especially the woman who gave us our welcome drink and was working during breakfast. They also gave everyone a free bottle of sparkling wine on the first night.

It is the perfect holiday accommodation. The exterior and interior are beautiful. The design is meticulous and well thought out. The views are breathtaking. There is a private car park, the hotel has a swimming pool. There is garden furniture to enjoy the view, and in the garden there are avocados, papayas, other fruits and flowers. There are the softest bedsheets my skin has ever touched and beds are very comfortable. There is a very good restaurant a minute away. The location is very convenient.

Everything was perfect – a truly authentic experience. I loved the idea of trust: you can take food or drinks from the hotel’s shop or bar, mark it down, and pay at the end. In the morning, breakfast ingredients are delivered so you can cook yourself, which makes it feel more like staying in a home than a hotel. The location is stunning – probably the best spot for sunsets on Madeira, in a quiet, non-touristy area surrounded by nature. With only six cottages, privacy is guaranteed. The cottages are decorated in a cozy rustic style, very clean, with vintage furniture that adds charm. In 5 minutes by car are some of the best restaurants we tried on the island, plus even a specialty coffee shop. It’s also a perfect base to explore the northwest, southwest, and central parts of Madeira. Out of four accommodations we stayed in during our trip, this was by far the best.

Castanheiro Boutique Hotel ligger i Funchal. Marina do Funchal ligger 500 m fra hotellet, hvor der findes en spa, spabad samt en udendørs swimmingpool, der er åben året rundt. The staff was Excellent. They went out of their way to help to recommend outstanding restaurants, activities and the happy hour was fantastic to meet other travelers. The location is excellent.

Quinta das Malvas - Quinta de Santa Luzia ligger i Funchal og har gratis wi-fi overalt. Great that we had the option to use a fridge and kitchen. Location is also great, close to the city. Free parking available. I can definitely recommend it.
