Set in Takamatsu, 12 km from Sunport Takamatsu, THE CHELSEA BREATH offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. Loved the hotel so much we asked to stay another night. Rooms are lovely. Drinks and snacks were available in the lounge and the food in the restaurant was very good.

Located in Kasuga, 26 km from Takamatsu, Asan Kotonami features a terrace and views of the mountain. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. This is a superb hotel/onsen. Beautiful location, great food, lovely hot baths.

A 15-minute walk from JR Kotohira Station, Kotohira Kadan offers natural hot spring baths and spacious Japanese-style rooms, some with a private outdoor hot spring bath. Lovely room with a great view of the garden and distant mountains. The private bath on our balcony was excellent plus there was another bath that could be booked for private use with a view of the forest, free of charge. We had 2 kaiseki dinners which were delicious. There was plenty of food but the portions were more manageable than some similar hotels. The tempura was the best we've ever had! Staff were very friendly. You can walk to Kompira-san via a direct route from behind the property. There was a hotel shuttle bus to the station.

Set in Takamatsu, 16 km from Liminal Air-core Takamatsu and 16 km from Kitahamaebisu Shrine, オリーブの宿 澳邸 offers spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Absolutely beautiful home and location. Wish we had more time to explore the olive grove!

Set in Tonosho in the Shodoshima region, with MeiPAM Art Museum and Saiko-ji Temple nearby, Kikuya Ryokan offers accommodation with free private parking. Me and my wife toured Japan for our honeymoon and one of our stops was Tonosho, Shodoshima. We stayed at Kikuya Ryokan and couldn't be more happy with our decision. A fantastic location just steps away from the Tonosho ferry terminal, within a 5 minute drive/bus from landmarks such as Angel Road, and last but certainly not least, our gracious host Miya-san. A cozy and spacious tatami room, amenities, yukata, tea, presents and so much more. Miya-san was one of the kindest souls we've ever met and was instrumental in making Tonosho an unforgettable experience. We'll never forget it and are so thankful for her hard work! We'll meet again, one day!

Featuring an outdoor pool and natural hot spring baths on the top floor, Bay Resort Hotel Shodoshima is located in Shodoshima Island. All guestrooms offer great ocean views. What impressed me most was the assistance of the service staff I happened to meet a young girl from Taiwan who helped us with the language barrier and was very patient in helping us translate and solve the problem! There was also a young Japanese boy who helped us with the hot spring temperature and finally helped us carry our luggage to the shuttle bus. I was very impressed by his perfect service.

A 5-minute walk from JR Kotohira Train Station, Kotosankaku Hiten provides Japanese rooms with traditional futon beds and Konpira Mountain views. Hotel staffs are all friendly and helpful, the Onsen experience at the hotel, the city was nice and peaceful.
