The staff were attentive and spoke English. Fujimoto-san in particular was very polite and friendly. He helped us from picking us to the bus stop to the end of our trip.  Although the location is not in Kurokawa Onsen town, the staff were accommodating and dropped us off and picked us up from the town and from and to the bus stop when we arrived and left. The room and onsens were clean and spacious. We enjoyed the outdoor private onsen in particular. The public cave onsen was also quite fun.  The dinner and lunch was delicious highlighted local ingredients expertly prepared by the chef.  Overall, our stay at Hanamura was beyond our expectations and was relaxing and peaceful.

Syukubo Aso se nachází v destinaci Aso. Stadion Egao Kenko Kumamoto je 33 km daleko a Hrad Kumamoto 42 km. Everything was wonderful! The staff was very pleasant and attentive, the food was a feast (quite literally) and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for in a ryokan. Private or public onsen on site was relaxing and peaceful. Just a brief walk from Aso station and a car rental so you can see the local sights, but far enough from the bigger roads that there was no noise. Highly recommended!

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. The place is wonderfully preserved and the staff is gentle and lovable, they are truly committed to enable their guests have a great time. What I liked: the hotel, location, staff, food.

Minshuku Asogen se nachází v Asu, 29 km od stadionu Egao Kenko Kumamoto, 38 km od hradu Kumamoto a 38 km od parku Suizenji. The food and the onsen was honestly the best part of the stay. room was a little small but still good. Food was amazing!

Hanare no Yado Hanagokoro se nachází v destinaci Minamioguni. Sopka Aso se nachází 40 km daleko a Jezero Kinrinko 49 km. This place is a hidden treasure. Great tranquil place to escape crazy Japanese cities. We had wonderful time in Japan nature

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan má 5 termálních lázní, včetně 30metrové jeskynní lázně. The osen experience is unique. We did the cave and the open-air osen. The old building, and the open-fire grill for dinner, the beef, etc... It is right next to the river and it is in the center of the town. Very conveniently located. A lot of tourists take selfies in front of the buildings so it is a destination on its own.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. This may have singlehandedly been the best ryokan I've stayed at in my few trips to Japan to date. The ryokan's bathing facilities are top notch, and having visited a few of the other Kurokawaonsen ryokan onsen before checking in (making use of the Nyuto Tegata onsen-hopping pass, which allows you to visit up to three onsens within the limits of Kurokawaonsen in the course of a day), including Yamamizuki, I believe that Noshiyu's onsens are up there amongst the best. Turning to the food, the booth allocated to me/my room in the dining room both for dinner and breakfast was exquisite, alike the cooking and the high quality ingredients used for my two meals. My room (the Yamabuki) was one of the biggest I have stayed at at a ryokan, and has its own mini onsen. All in all, an amazing accommodation experience which met and slightly surpassed my expectations.

Hotel Yumeshizuku se nachází v obci Minami Aso v regionu Kumamoto, 10 km od města Naka-dake, a nabízí termální lázeň a saunu. Všechny pokoje jsou klimatizované a vybavené TV s plochou obrazovkou. Worth the trip, and you can communicate in English.
