Very remote from where the tourists are - I had a car so it was easy to access and easy to drive my big luggage up the hill. Ryokan was very spacious and had all the amenities needed (toiletries, hakata, slippers, extra bedding if needed), and the private onsen was perfect for a dip. Cleanliness was up to standards. Service from the staff was great. I had both dinner kaiseki and breakfast in the main building (only a short 1-2 min walk from my ryokan with private onsen) and it was delicious!

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. Amazing ryokan and hot bath experience in the hotel and in the village of Kurokawa using the pass offered by the different bath houses. The autumn colors were splendid around all the outdoor baths. Our stay was in late November. Spectacular !

We took the room with private onsen. It was a great experience! The rooms were big, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was also good.

This ryokan is a peaceful oasis where everything is perfect: the quiet atmosphere, the warmth of the owners, the beauty and comfort of the room, the luxury of the private onsen, and the delicious breakfasts and dinner. Moreover, Beppu is a wonderful little place and I've fallen in love with it. My stay at Manrikiya was beyond my expectation. As I told the owners: it was a dream come true, 夢が叶いました! どうもありがとうございます

The private onsen rooms were amazing. Our room had 2 private (one indoor and one outdoor onsen) plus the main bath house. Staff is amazing and so friendly.

Nastanitev kominka neri（古民家煉り） je v mestu Miyawaka, 12 km od znamenitosti Azenomachi Ehon Museum in 13 km od znamenitosti Ino Tensho Kotai Jingu Shrine. We had a wonderful stay. It’s very spacious, well decorated, private onsen in the bathroom is amazing. The staff is friendly. We really appreciated the kaiseki dinner. Everything was perfect

Nastanitev Beppu Kannawa Onsen HIROMIYA se nahaja v mestu Beppu, 26 km od znamenitosti stadion Showa Denko Dome Oita, in ponuja pogled na mesto. Nice and clean, big room. 711 nearby. The hostess is incredibly kind and thoughtful. She introduced us to the homestay and nearby attractions, made sure the room was warm when we returned, and gave us a discount ticket for the onsen and grass steam bath, which was really affordable and relaxing. We had a lovely and memorable conversation about our languages, experiences, or just some nonsense🤪When she learned we were rushing to catch the closing hours at scenic spots, she kindly drove us there and showed us the best route.

The hotel is just 5 mins walk to the hells of beppu attraction. The buffet (dinner and breakfast) were fantastic. Love the beef steak and the buffet spread. Services by the restaurant crew was fantastic too! The rooms were spacious and the layout was well thought out. The best experience was this particular counter staff. I forgot to note down his name but I really would like to compliment his good service! He was so helpful in giving us the direction to the bus stop and bus time schedule. He personally walked us out of the hotel premise to show us where the location of bus stop. He is what I called service beyond expectation!!
