The room was absolutely fabulous, and we were delighted to receive an upgrade. Having our own private onsen-style facility in the bathroom made the experience truly special. The monk staff were incredibly gracious, friendly, and always ready to help.

It was such an amazing experience. Thank you to the monk staff who were so kind and patient and guided us through meditation custom and practices. Our room included shojin ryori (buddhist vegetarian cuisine) breakfast and dinner which was very balanced and filling. I feel a sense of gratitude and peace coming back to Tokyo. I would like to go every year if I can.

We are over the moon to see the Buddha relic at this temple! The staff is very kind and tried to introduce Buddhism in English! After the morning chanting, we had a temple tour and saw the Buddha relic 💯

Minshuku Sumiya se nachází na výhodném místě ve čtvrti Kawayu Onsen v destinaci Tanabe. The host is very nice and attentive. EVerything is clean and we had all we needed. The dinner was delicious as well as the bento box for our trek, probably the best bento box we had in Japan!

高野山 宿坊 不動院 -Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin- se nachází v destinaci Kojasan a poskytuje ubytování s zahradou a neplacené soukromé parkoviště pro hosty, kteří přijedou autem. Shukubo Fudoin is set back from the main road but is in the centre of the village and in close walking distance to all the main sights. The rooms were immaculate and peaceful. We arrived early but the rooms were ready and our host explained the protocols clearly and with great kindness, before serving us a cup of tea and a lovely mōchi treat. The bathhouse was available for our use from late afternoon until 8pm. The meals in the evening and morning were generous, tasty and beautifully presented. The monks and their team were humble, polite and completely charming. Prayers at 6am was a great privilege to participate in. Although we were there for only one night, we left refreshed and rested.

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara se nachází pouhé 2 minuty chůze od poutních cest Kumano Kodo zapsaných na seznamu světového dědictví a nabízí venkovní i vnitřní termální lázně. Excellent property and location, very friendly staff, enjoyable onsen. Views are stunning. Hotel provides lunch bentos for a fee, which is very convenient.

高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- se nachází v posvátné oblasti hory Koya. Jedná se o historický chrám a ubytování pro návštěvníky. The evening meditation, sutra writing, and morning prayer service, were amazing. Talking with the monks was very interesting; about the temple, Buddhism, and their personal experiences. The dinner and breakfast were also great.
