The hotel rooms were very clean and and they used  deluxe bedding.  The location is very central I walked all over Anchorage.

We enjoyed our stay in The Pioneer. It has a comfortable bed, full kitchen and was very quiet. Didn’t need a car - We walked over to New Sagaya City Market and Kaladi Coffee. We received a discount for ice skate rentals at Alaska Outdoor Gear Rental and they delivered for free. We walked over to Westchester Lagoon and had fun skating. Even saw the aurora from the living room. We will be back.

This hotel is located on the banks of Ship Creek, within walking distance of Central Anchorage. The Alaska Railroad and the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts are within minutes away.

Good value for the money. Beds made with clean bedding as you enter the premises. Never heard or saw neighbors in adjoining apartments. Highly recommend this as alternative to higher priced local hotels. All appliances available, just like home.
