It’s absolutely beautiful inside and out. When you walk in there is a little market with fresh local fruits, milk, meat and cheese, wine and beer and snacks. Locally made artwork and souvenirs. It snowed our day of arrival and our host graciously provided us sleds and toboggans. You can actually see Neuschwanstein out in the distance among the Mountain View’s. It was a 15 minute drive to the castle parking. It was our best air bnb in all of Europe.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Maximilian Appartements is set in Schwangau, 4.8 km from Neuschwanstein Castle and 5.2 km from Museum of Füssen. Everything about this accommodation was top notch, it is one of the best places we've ever stayed! We had a standard plus room. The living and dining/kitchen area was very comfortable, and the kitchen was extremely well supplied for a short stay. The tv also worked beautifully. The bathroom had a wonderful, high water pressure, spacious shower that was really relaxing. The bedroom had a spacious and very comfortable bed. There was also a nice tv in the bedroom. The balcony was large and comfortably appointed; there was a slight view of the mountains, though this was probably better on upper floors. The proximity to the lake Forggensee was wonderful for walking and swimming. The sauna was also very nice! Even the dishware was charming and modern, as was the entire decor.

Location is central, nearby everything but still peaceful. The apartment itself was cozy, roomy and we could not have asked for more. A huge shout out to this pearl of accomodation!

ApartSchön has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Schwangau, 3 km from Museum of Füssen. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. I liked that the pictures looked exactly like the place but the place is very nice.
