The location in an enchanting forest in the middle of a winter wonderland and away from the crowds and lights of the nearby town of Akaslompolo (though not too far as to make it a long drive) was excellent for peaceful relaxation and observation of the northern lights. The staff were excellent and made every effort to accommodate to our needs and special requests. The pirate sauna/jacuzzi and ice hole were a delight!

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our trip. Sauna was lovely after a long day on the hill. There is a locker downstairs for all ski/snow equipment, as well as a room for waxing and fixing snowboards which was great! being able to do laundry and use the drying cabinet was also very useful. bed were comfortable and we got plenty of good sleep.

Wow for the price I payed this was terrific! I wasn't expecting a private sauna in the bathroom when I booked (I'm not sure if they advertise that clearly but it was definitely a cool bonus) it heated up properly too (100C+). Facilities are great, lots of cutlery and plates etc, new kitchen facilities. It worked great for me as a night stopover on my road trip.

Lodge 67°N Lapland is located in the centre of Äkäslompolo and at the foot of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Free WiFi and parking are available. Everything about the Lodge was wonderful! We arrived after check in but everything was arranged so we could let ourselves in. The location is perfect, so peaceful but within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants and x-country/hiking trails, with the bus to the ski slopes just outside. The incredible breakfast was a great way to start the day and the sauna a great way to finish! Staff were so friendly and gave us great advice for places to visit. And you're close enough to the lake to dash over when the aurora makes an appearance!

Offering 5 log cottages by Ylläs Mountain, Tunturioravat is a 5-minute walk from central Äkäslompolo. All cottages have wooden interiors, free Wi-Fi access and a private sauna. - great location - nice facilities (open fireplace + private sauna) - super helpful host

Hotel Ylläshumina is beautifully situated by Lake Äkäslompolo, near the village of Äkäslompolo. We had a fantastic stay in this hotel. The property is beautiful, food is tasty, rooms are comfortable, and the saunas are really nice. Staff are friendly and happy to help you plan your stay.
