It is a wonderful location and experience! Great staff members, great food, great room, great spa options. Only one hour from Vienna, but it helps disconnect and relax. I will go back for sure!

I booked the apartment for few days for my wife and she really enjoyed everything in the apartment. Freshly renovated apartment, good condition of furniture , spacious bathroom, comfortable bedroom (according to my wife, the best mattress ever!), many tiny details in the apartment though out carefully for the comfort of guests. The hosts (Marina, Mariella) were very responsive to all queries and welcoming. The apartment is quite close to the busy tourist area, bit not very much (at the end of the street), so you can escape noise from the restaurants in the evenings and enjoy quite evenings. Spacious garden in the yard and the sauna is great as well. Next time we are going to visit the place with all our family.

Impeccable service, fantastic food, and delicious wine. Breakfast buffet consistently good, and the eggs are cooked to perfection every time. The beds are very comfortable. Even the sofa bed mattress is more comfortable than many regular hotel mattresses. Beautiful view of the castle ruins, especially when lit up at night. The spa and infinity pool put the new hotel over the top. Entire facility is very clean including the rooms. Love the honesty fridge in the lobby so we can grab a bottle of wine or water even when the shop is closed. The terraces for the suites are massive! Very dog friendly - they cooked our pup his own meal. Easy and secure parking in the garage. Rooms are nicely sound proofed.

Hotel Schachner is located in the town of Maria Taferl, close to the basilica. It offers views of the Alps and the Danube River. Where to start? Amazing location with beautiful views. We could just sit and enjoy the views. Tasty food, we had breakfasts and dinners and the food was just great, rich variations, tasty vegetables and fruits, fine wine.. Staff was helpful, whatever we needed, they tried to help. There were a lot of small things, like you don't need to clean your room, you get the present, but all the small things make it to wonderful experience. Swimming pool was next to the second building of the hotel, just some meters to walk, there was refreshment, table tennis, bedminton.. We will come again, definitely.

This family-run 4-star hotel lies hidden between the vineyards of the Wachau, about 900 metres west of the historic town of Dürnstein. Excellent facilities.. friendly staff.. Spa was amazing.. breakfast had everything we needed.. would highly recommend

This family-run 4-star hotel is located in the picturesque pilgrimage town of Maria Taferl in Lower Austria, only a few steps away from the famous basilica. We enjoyed our meals in the restaurant with fantastic views. Free parking is a bonus.
