We had a fantastic time staying in the lovely homestay with Moses and the family (including Sky the puppy)! We had an excellent dinner and chat with Moses who provided invaluable information and booked train tickets for us.

Situated on its own ghat, BrijRama Palace – A Heritage Hotel was built in the 18th Century and is considered as one of the oldest structures in Varanasi. The service was phenomenal. The location is the absolute best feature of the hotel, on the river bank, with a spectacular view.

We liked having the table & chairs on our balcony/walkway for 2 rooms. We also liked having our meals "family style" with the other guests. My husband would have preferred a different variety of food at breakfasts - perhaps pancakes and/or eggs, he's not a big yogourt fan! I was fine with the breakfasts. We also had 2 dinners during our 3 nights there and they were good, though as seniors who don't eat a lot, the fixed price for 2 was double what we usually paid when we could share.
