Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. Location was amazing, the view was breathtaking and of course the breakfast was fantastic.

The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. Excellent breakfast, very comfortable bed, fantastic view from the window! The staff is responsive and kind. Especially the woman at the bar, who prepared coffee and told us about the complimentary glass of Madeira wine!

The hotel Atrio is a small family run rural hotel located on the sunny south side of Madeira Island. Gorgeous cabin getaway in the countryside! Every detail is looked after for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Very quiet place. Incredible food - breakfast and dinner - a lot was homemade. They really take pride in their project here!

Offering an outdoor pool and spa centre, Castanheiro Boutique Hotel is set in Funchal, 500 metres from Marina do Funchal. Excellent service from the moment you enter the hotel. All staff extremely friendly. Nice rooftop pool and bar/lounge. Rooms have everything you need. Left before breakfast but got a breakfast box that had more food than I could eat. Free spa admission with a steam room and Turkish bath complimentary. Nice restaurant and ambiance throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.
