Offering free access to its guests to an indoor pool and a restaurant, Hotel Roman Maramures - Ski & Spa Resort is located in Borşa, 2 km from the Cailor Waterfall and 10 km from Iezer Lake. Very modern and well located hotel just nearby the ski slope. The rooms are modern, especially the one with mountain view. SPA area is great. The sauna reached 85 degrees which was more than expected and I loved it. We will definitely come back, probably during the winter season. Best value in Maramures! ♥️

The hotel is great, including the spa services. The breakfast is wonderful and there is also a restaurant with a varied menu and very tasty food. The hotel staff is kind and helpful in everything. Located in Borşa, 7 km from the city centre. A bar and a garden terrace are also included. All rooms feature free WiFi is available throughout the property. I was traveling the entire country by motorbike with my significant other and we came past Borsa and stayed at Nord Hotel for a night. It was pretty great. We wanted to soak a little in the pool after a long day in the saddle and got everything we wanted out of it. The spa & pool facilities are great, there's a dry & wet sauna, a whirlpool and a very beautiful salt grotto upstairs. Breakfast was great and the fridge was stocked with snacks & chocolate for late night munchies - which i very much appreciated. Staff was nice and helpful. There's no fenced off parking but that wasn't an issue because people up north are generally very nice and it's pretty quiet compared to any large city in Romania. 10/10 as far as i'm concerned. Much cheaper than comparable spa hotels in the area too.
