The CrossFit Tiny House was a charming little abode in the outskirts of Iya Valley. Connected to a well stocked CrossFit gym, it provided us with everything we needed, a well equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable bathing facilities, cozy sleeping and a peaceful environment to use as a base to explore the valley for a few days. We also participated in a mobility class in the gym free of charge as guests of the house and the owners were kind and helpful 🙂

Set in Ōdo, within 16 km of Odo Dam Museum and 31 km of Kaiganzan Iwaya-ji Temple, 山茶小屋 Yamachagoya offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Mayuko was the most wonderful and friendly host. The building is an old converted schoolhouse and such an interesting and authentic place to stay nestled in the hills of Shikoku. A great place for an escape if you’re looking for some serenity. We are looking forward to coming back one day.
