It was as cheap as I could get near the airport, and convenient for the tram stop. It wasn’t fancy but it did the job. The bunk bed built over the double was a nice touch, I can see a kid loving that.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in Apr 24 in a double room with breakfast. Hotels in Edinburgh are typically very expensive…mine averaged about $230/night and they were nice enough to put me on the top floor with great views out of 3 windows (which was quite reasonable!). Plusses: comfortable bed, decent sized bath, great views, delicious/wide variety (hot and cold) breakfast, outstanding staff. One thing I discovered in 6 nights, there were never any ‘problems’ only ‘solutions.’ Great, clean, centrally located hotel in the heart of Old Town about a ½ km from the Royal Mile…location was bank! 5 stars for this hotel, staff, rooms, and breakfast! Highly recommend!

Most of the times when I visit UK I use Premier Inn hotels for my accommodation. This time when I was in Edinburgh I stayed here. Room was little smaller than I expected. But it was alright as I used only for one night. Location was great. Easy access to transportation.

A Feast for the Senses
A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.
The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.
Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.
For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.
Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

I loved everything about Edinburgh, stayed in Old Town, it was fantastic. Walked up Arthur’s Seat, it was beautiful. Went to the museum, to the kierkyard, pubs, restaurants, to the marked and had the best pulled pork I ever had before etc etc. Easy to get around, easy to find your way, so many things to do, I will come back and stay longer and try to experience more in this beautiful city.

Edinburgh has it's positives but I much prefer other areas...
Edinburgh has it's positives but I much prefer other areas of Scotland. Glasgow seems to have less of the unnecessary Snobbery. Edinburgh isn't London after all. Glasgow has amazing architecture and there's more a warmth to the Locals over there and all of the Taxi Drivers seem like natural comedians. You also get more value for your money in other areas of Scotland too. Edinburgh isn't a true representation of Scotland. Stirling Castle is much more of a spectacle than Edinburgh Castle which is known to the Glasweigens as 'that hoose on the hill', it's more of a Military Museum than an Actual Castle. Spend a day in Edinburgh and as that's truly all you need. There's so much more to Scotland than it's shallow Capital.

Fantastic city. My new favourite!
Fantastic city. My new favourite!
Transport links to and from the Airport are excellent(you couldn’t go wrong). We took the tram which got us into the main city centre in 30 minutes. It leaves every 7/8 minutes. It was great value for money (£9.50 return) but you can get the bus as well. Easy city to navigate around.
We walked everywhere, although there are a lot of steps and hills. (keep in mind if you’ve got less able bodied people in your group). Lots of laneways and side streets to explore.
We found the people very friendly and helpful.
We did a couple of tours to outside the city to Loch Lomond through Timberbush tours(we booked on Viatour which made it easy) we found these very good but there is more than enough to do in the city itself to keep you busy. There are hop on hop off bus tours available around the Waverley market area). We also did a walking tour of Edinburgh castle which was very good and informative. Most of these tours meet along the Royal Mile which is easy to find.
A clean and well maintained city for the most part.
We stayed in York place which was within easy walking distance of a lively area which had loads of options for dining of every budget.
We will definitely be back.

Let the train take the strain ,public transport in Edinburgh...
Let the train take the strain ,public transport in Edinburgh is fantastic you don't need a car to get around ,we got a central rover train ticket for 3 days £36:60 this got us to Stirling,Perth,Dundee and north Berwick the rest of the time we walked around Edinburgh. The options for food is fantastic plenty of choice. In Stirling we did the jail tour and Stirling castle tour both very entertaining and informative the staff were very helpful and happy to answer any questions, can't wait for my next visit to Scotland.
The location is fabulous - it's located on Victoria Street, a colorful street with nice little shops and restaurants and "Old Town" architecture. It is also 2/3 minutes away from the Royal Mile and the Castle. It's really in the heart of old town Edinburgh.
The staff were so nice and attentive. We traveled with a baby and they gave her a little unicorn book (that we came to learn is Scotland's national animal).
The hotel decor is bold and the room was spacious, comfortable, and again with bold decor.
We had a fantastic stay in this apartment with or two children. It was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, including tea and coffee etc. The bathroom is very modern, with a really nice shower. Best of all it is in a great location, just off the Royal Mile in the Old Town and really close to Edinburgh Waverley station and lots of sights such as the National Museum of Scotland and Edinburgh Castle.
The staff is just the best. So friendly and helpful!
Loved the location (walkable distance to the city centre, tram and bus stop conveniently nearby). It is very quiet both in the area and in the hotel.
The place is very cozy and clean. The have all the necessary amenities in the room - hairdryer, soaps etc. And even little sweets and tea-coffee making facilities.
We also ordered breakfast and it was delicious.
We came from Glasgow by bus stopping in front of the Hotel. Reaching Edinburgh city centre is easy (20 min) with many busses stopping in front of the hotel. Very easy to reach Edinburgh Airport by Bus (15 min) or Taxi for early morning flights
Room very nice and comfortable. Pup/Resaurant very good and cheap, with menus includin alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages.
Exceptional services by Ibis. The hotel is at best possible location. Ten minutes walk to Edinburgh Waverly and 5 mins to the Scotland museum and royal mile. The room was clean and spacious. There were so many restaurants near the hotel with the hotel itself having a bar and restaurant. Overall a great value for money. Do take ot if you get it at any deal
Excellent location, bus stop right outside the hotel. On check in, Lewis was amazing, full of information about Edinburgh and very helpful. Breakfast was very good and the room was comfortable but dated. I believe the hotel is in the process of being updated. All in all a very good, reasonably priced hotel close to the city centre
Hotel was amazing first time staying in Edinburgh and it didn’t disappoint. The room was lovely and the bathroom was spotless. Walked into the city centre both days and it wasn’t that far from all the attractions. Staff at the hotel were lovely as well and the place smelled amazing. Would definitely stay again.
The location is brilliant! Right in the city centre, it is less than a 10-minute walk to all areas you would want to visit - Edinburgh Castle, Rose Street, St James Quarter etc.
The hotel staff was incredibly tentative! Made sure we enjoyed our stay!
The room was great! Love the simplistic nature of it!
Big spacious room, considering a single. Central to Edinburgh City centre. Could walk to Royal Mile, castle etc. The restaurant was across the road , for breakfast. Rabbles is excellent quality food, and friendly polite service. They serve meals all day/evening. I got 20%off meals for being at the hotel.
Individual boutique hotel in an interesting historic building with lots of traditional features- felt like you were in Edinburgh. The suite was really big and comfy with a fab roll top bath. Great location as tucked away in a quiet street but a short walk to the city centre.
It was the perfect location, my partner and I had previously booked a hotel around Murrayfield but having stayed in the city centre has made travelling much easier. It also helps that the hotel is a few minutes away from Edinburgh Castle.
Really well set up, and much more comfortable than a hotel. We also enjoyed being within easy reach of city centre while still being in a quieter, less touristy part of town. It was the perfect base for exploring Edinburgh!
Excellent breakfast, comfortable rooms that are safe, clean, and quiet. Great place to stay in Edinburgh New Town. Pretty accessible to Old Town, but still a walk of about 15-30 min, depending on where you go.
The Staff, location was excellent with great bus link connection to/from hotel... great location to Old Town, to New Town, to restaurants.. Big towels a plus... The whole thing worked... Thank you 💫
Great hotel, close to city centre and superb value.
No cooked breakfast due to Covid restrictions but substitute was more than adequate.
Will definitely stay again when next in Edinburgh
Excellent apartment room with all facilities at a reasonable price. The room included all the details you would expect in a 5- star hotel. Excellent location in Old Town city centre.
The location. The hotel is just in the middle of Edinburgh's Old Town, so most of the historic and sightseeing places are very near. The breakfast was very good too.
