I would recommend any of the tours. The Celtic Nights dinner Show and the Irish Trad house party dinner and show have been a favorite. The Hop On Hop Off Bus is great for first timers since it gives you a great view and layout of the city. Dublin is great! A lot of culture, museums, brewery, distilleries, pubs, restaurants and especially a lot of very good live music in nearly every pub, daily! Other exhibitions connected to the National Museum of Ireland are located in easy to reach locations and are also free. Lots of pubs with good food and music. Great craic!

It was raining one day but it was not a problem - we would just go into a museum and be surprised. There is plenty to see and do in Dublin itself as well as the outlying areas. Temple bar is a good place to start but be careful as prices can be high in this area. The transport system is adequate with plenty of buses and this is supplemented by the Luis tram service. The fares are quite cheap especially when you look at the prices for buses and trams in England.
