Decent location close to the main train station. Got a superior room which was excellent. Didn't bother with breakfast as i was either up and out before it started or getting back just before it started. However if you booked a day in advance you got it at a really good rate, probably half of what you would pay on the day. You could pick and choose the days too, which I thought was an excellent option. Rooftop bar was fantastic with a great view and an opportunity to meet great locals who stoped in after work. Veronica especially who sat and had another drink with me and listened to me waffle on about what I had done in Oslo for an hour or two before making her way home. Cocktails were the same cost as other classy establishments in the city 200 ish nok and beers were around average too. Used the sauna, which was good but didn't use the pool. It's hidden away up a tower staircase. Watched the football in the pizza restaurant on ground floor. Average price for beer compared to everywhere else but didn't eat there.

Spreading for hundreds of kilometres from the mouth of the Oslofjord, Oslo is the largest city by area in Europe and is liberally covered in pristine forests rising up into the outlying hills. South of the unassuming city hall lies a vibrant waterfront known as Aker Brygge, which in summer is full of bustling outdoor restaurants and bars.
For the prettiest buildings head to affluent inner-city suburbs of Frogner and Fagerborg, or admire the traditional Scandinavian wooden houses of Bygdøy and Holmenkollen. Monumental buildings include the Royal Palace which runs daily tours and the Akershus Festning, which is a medieval castle that also served as a military base and provides impressive views of the Oslofjord. Oslo City Hall, or rådhus, offers even more distinctive architecture and it is the location of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
Nature is never far away in Oslo which is ringed by an archipelago of islands which are extremely popular in summer. Hiking, kayaking and sailing are all easily achievable within the city limits. Just as popular, are the many museums. The national Museum houses Edvard Munch’s famous painting The Scream and Viking Ship Museum containing long-lost relics from Norway’s Viking past.
From downtown Sentrum to the Oslo Airport Gardermoen to the stunning statues in Frogner Park, Booking.com has over 80 hotels and other accommodations available.
I'm sure its a nice and liveable city if you're a local, but...
I'm sure its a nice and liveable city if you're a local, but in terms of tourist attractions, it doesn't have a lot compare to other major European cities. BUT it also depends on what you're looking for. I think for more urban/human centric activities (which is what i like) it lacks compare to other cities, but for more nature stuff its def a good choice!

Oslo is an amzing city to visit, to explore and see so much.
Oslo is an amzing city to visit, to explore and see so much. The hotel we stayed in was central, not far from the train station, quite close to the harbour and museums.
I would recommend that you purchase an Oslo pass. We purchased an Oslo pass for three days and we got our moneys worth.
As our hotel provided breakfast, fika(coffee and cake in the afternoon) and dinner we did not eat anywhere, apart from buying some cakes from a baker shop.
As long as you have a good map you should be fine.
As for museums to visit: the Nordic Bible museum, the armed forces and castle, the history museum, the ski jump and so much more.
If you are travellling by plane to Oslo airport, use the express train, only takes about 20 minutes. Oslo is well worth a visit.

Not the cleanest city in the world, but fine.
Not the cleanest city in the world, but fine. People are not talkative and they are rather reserved, but they are trying to be helpful when needed. A lot of beautiful places to go, including parks, other 'nature' centres, restaurants. Great public transportation. People speak great English. Mind that everything is rather expensive. I would most certainly visit again.

Oslo is where you stay to go other places in Norway.
Oslo is where you stay to go other places in Norway. A few sights were closed, the rest were so-so. Lot of people watching in the area of Oslo Central station. Locals get out and enjoy a nice day. Pay the difference and stay near the central station, lot easier to get around, lot to do, most things walkable.

What a great city! I hope to come back again someday.
What a great city! I hope to come back again someday. Lovely people, lots of great walking areas. Excellent infrastructure for travellers (easy train transport from the airport to downtown); the tram was easy to take as a foreigner. Food was delicious everywhere we went. We were especially impressed with the Comfort Hotel Børsparken.
Super polite and gentle staff, fancy installations. But the best was the breakfast, it was the best in my life, seriously! They served variety of cheese like a beige goat one from Norway, also haring and raw salmon and caviar salmon, delicious! They had amazing pancakes, fruits, homemade smoothie and vitamin shot, yogurt, chia puddin, Vienna bread (sweet pastry with pecan nuts), good coffee and plant-based milk. After this we didn't even to try salmon in a restaurant and pay for that, completely worth it! Also good location.
Great location with a few spots to unload luggage in front of the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. The gym in the basement was clean, spacious and had good equipment. The room was clean and comfy, with large floor to ceiling windows. The breakfast was what nudged our rating up to a 9. The breakfast room was large and airy. The breakfast itself was of high quality with so many options. We splurged on a 5 star breakfast at the Britannia in Trondheim later in the trip and both agreed that the Karl Johan was better.
Very quite, nice view, new building,
Also very friendly staff exactly reception very helpful to guide me how to access transport or where to go for having fun and enjoy in Oslo !
Eneo is a Albanian man work in reception and he did lot of respect to me and he guided me for many questions I had and he was so patient and very hospitality:)
I give him and K7 hotel 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I came from London 📍and like to travel again to Oslo stay in this hotel because I found lot of friends here and they are very respectful 🤝
Excellent hotel with stunning views over the fjord and city centre (we stayed on the 19th floor). Flybuss stops directly outside which was fantastic as we needed to catch the 4.10am and have three teenagers! Great breakfast (with generous amounts of smoked salmon), lovely pool and sauna and large comfortable room. Oh and also praise for having 5 lightning fast lifts as I've stayed at many a hotel that feels that 2 is enough! Would definitely come back.
The room and lobby was spacious and with the great design. There were the electric switch and socket near my bed. The hotel offered a various amount of additional amenities such as kettle, coffe, tea, hot chocolate, iron, dryer. Location was also good (8 minutes from metro station and bus stop. The city centre was 15-20 minutes far from hotel). To be honest, that was the best quaility to price ratio
Actually it’s an ordinary hotel with cons snd pros, but sometimes the most important thing is how you feel while you stay at a hotel. We felt very happy during our stay in Thon Hotel. Very cute lobby, amazing staff and special mention to breakfast. You expect this quality only in 5 star hotels maybe. A very charming breakfast room and amazing food with a wide variety
The woman I spent time with, her legs and everything in between them
Location of the hotel is perfect and quite cosy despite the lack of view. Everything is in close proximity to the city centre
Also the hotel has got it's own bar, and they make some really good drinks! We spent some time in the bar just chatting and enjoying a couple of drinks
Stayed in Oslo on many occasions but wanted a different experience to a hotel, and can recommend the Apartments Highly. Very good access by transport or walking to see the city and incredible value in comparison to having stayed at the Grand Hotel previously
Warm, fully equipped kitchen, fantastic shower and very simple but effective décor.
The overall courtesies extended by the Hotel Staff were exceptional. Check-in was quick and the Staff's pleasant welcome was good. My Official events in Norway were in close proximity to the venues and that made it easy for me to attend my activities on time.
Well located in the city. The room we stayed in (on 3 different trips to / from Olso) were very comfy, although a bit cramped for a family of 4. Breakfast was the best of all the hotels we stayed at in Norway. Reception staff were very helpful.
The hotel is located in the city center. Room was big enough and very clean.
The staff was very helpful and kind.
Coffee, tea and water was for free all day long.
The bed was very comfortable.
I would definitely stay again!
According to the price it was worth it and very well and nice. I wasn't expecting to be this clean and nice cosy bedrooms. The funny thing is the beds were comfier than the ones in 5 star hotels.😂
We liked the the great location of the hotel - central and very quiet. Easy to walk to almost every where in the city (Oslo, Norway) and also easy to find public transportation for longer trips.
Very good location, easily reached by the express airport train. Very clean rooms. Amazing breakfast, equivalent to a 5 star hotel. Hotel staff very eager to help.
