Idaia serve you a delicious breakfast to have a good start in the day, you can have an extraordinary lunchpaket for a trip and we highly recommend to take the dinner in the house cause it is excellent and in a cosy room. For us the Refugio del Cares is a very special place to come back again and again when you have the oppurtunity. A Great Thank to Idaia and Drago for the Exceptionnal stay we did have and we appreciated with our heart and soul. We are looking forward to come back next year. Tania and Rudi.

The place is beautifully renovated, with great views, and a good location as a base for visiting the coast of Asturias. The cakes made by Susanna for breakfast were excellent. Both Juan and Susanna were great hosts and went out of their way to help us when my husband had a little accident.

Amazing place If you want to take some time with yourself. The views are just gorgeous, there are different kinds of attractions for everyone. I mostly liked the hammock ;-). The host people are very kind and hospitable. You can order some meals also here and they will be made with farmers' products.
