La Candia y el Mar is a recently renovated country house in Valverde, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and terrace. Absolutely perfect. I do think everything has already been said about this jewel of a casita. But once again in short form...spacious, spotless, stylish,. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Excellent maintenance. Extremely well equipped. Gorgeous views. Easy access and parking. The attention to detail is remarkable. We're on the road 9-10 months a year, very discerning and place Candia y el Mar in our top 5 of recent years. Splendid swimming pool and we even enjoyed watching the small propeller planes at the airport (quiet) below us. Excellent location. Very good pizzas a few minutes away. Pre-order earlier in the day to be sure ( limited dough prepared). Farina + Tomate. The Heart of this wonderful property is the welcoming and genuinely friendly host. Thank you so much.

We stayed at Casa los Santillos at the end of September/beginning of October of 2021. It is a truly special place. My husband and I came to El Hierro to get away from everything and to dive in La Restinga. If you want your own little place on the island on your diving vacation, this place is perfect. It's only about a 25 minute drive to La Restinga. It's also located on the South Side of the island, which, at least when we were there, had hotter weather (sometimes 10 degrees Celsius hotter than the North). Tacorón beach was about 20 to 30 minutes by car. El Pinar is in close proximity for groceries. As for the location, it is a place of real tranquility. The house is nestled between the hills laced with pine trees. On your way to the house you see Aloe Vera, cacti, and succulents. From the terrace you have a view of the ocean on a clear day. It feels like you have the entire island to yourself. Since I came travelling from a different time zone, I woke up early enough to watch the sunrise and then had a great view of the sunset in the evening. At night, the lack of light pollution gives way to a view of the starlit sky I haven't seen anywhere before. The house is equipped with yoga mats. I would just grab one and lay on the terrace gazing at the vault of stars above me. Just enjoying the views and the solitude filled me with peace. I found the house to be even cuter than in the pictures. It’s a farmhouse with black volcanic rock that has been lovingly decorated. It’s evident that a lot of thought has been put into every detail: from the local art on the walls to the coffee books in the bedroom and the wooden cabinets and elements in warm colors. Casa Los Santillos is cozy and inviting. We found the bed to be surprisingly comfortable and slept well there. The house has blinds in every room that shield you from the light outside. There is a nice, big couch in the living room to lounge about on.

It's a lovely traditional canary islands house with full equipment. The owner is also very friendly and helps in case of any question. I totally recommend this house.
