Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Incredibly kind, friendly and helpful staff. Our stay coincided with their 4th anniversary and there was a fun sake party. The common areas were clean, quiet and comfortable to lounge in, and the kitchen had all the amenities. Indoor and outdoor onsens were very relaxing and nicely designed. The dormitory bunkbed cubes were surprisingly cozy and comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay, highly recommended!

Hot Spring Inn Hakone Suisen offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 4.2 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station and 3.6 km of Kowakudani Station. Super clean and nice service,location is not convenient but quiet,I can sleep well everyday.

Set in Hakone, Centurion Hakone Bettei offers 4-star accommodation with private balconies. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The staff was amazing and super accommodating. The private onsen was a great experience and really nice that your room gets an hour per day.

Boasting a hot tub, Hakone Miyanoshita Myojokan is set in Hakone. The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 6.2 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. The host is incredibly friendly, even taking the time to plan our sightseeing route for us. The onsen is amazing and private. We loved the experience staying in a typical ryokan, and the host made it that much more enjoyable.

The ryokan style room and private open air bath is exceptional, and the staff hospitality were awesome it's exceed my expectation. Since i'm prefer green tea more than roasted green tea in the morning, they provide me with the green tea in the breakfast menu for my breakfast set, didn't expecting that. Overall, very satisfied with this ryokan, will back for sure.

Situated in Hakone, 8.7 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Suiun provides accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. It is a Classical Japanese hotel with private spa. The breakfast is quite amazing for its taste and variety. I would stay with them absolutely when next time I travel to Hakone.

Situated in Tokyo, within 1.5 km of Sensoji Temple and 2.2 km of Tokyo Skytree, Ryokan Nakadaya offers accommodation with a shared lounge. I can't even begin to describe it, I loved this place. It really holds a special place in my heart. This was my first ever vacation alone, and Tatsuo was amazing at easing me into the stay. I miss Japan badly, and I feel Tatsuo was a key contributor to making everyday great. The location was great with heaps of food nearby, the rooms were cosy, felt like a home away from home. The toilets and showers were very clean and so was the rest of the building in general. Would live there if I could, 10/10
