The lodge was a perfect complement to our visit along the river, offering comfort and a cool swimming pool on our return. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special, we had a fantastic time.

It’s within walking distance to everything but out of the hustle and bustle. Breakfasts were delicious. Tony, our host, was the best. We arrived late one evening and hadn’t been able to book whitewater rafting for the next day, so he made it happen for us with a personally guided tour that was an absolute highlight of our trip. This is a family run business that hires indigenous locals (you can buy some beautiful handicrafts on site) and is practising sustainability.

I long for the sound of the river and the birds! The staff is exceptional. They were helpful, kind and knowledgeable. They helped us experience the birds in ways I would have not imagined.
