BelgiumHost St Ives was the ideal base for exploring this stunning part of Cornwall. Rassie is an exceptional host—helpful, genuinely friendly, and full of great local tips. His warm South African accent alone could brighten your day, and honestly, I’d happily grab a pint with him anytime. He even inspired us to go for a sunrise swim in the sea—an unforgettable experience!
The accommodation itself is beautifully designed, with thoughtful details in every corner. The interior is stylish, the lighting can be adjusted with different ambient scenes, and even the shower gel smells like gorse—the iconic yellow flowers you see everywhere around here.
As tempting as it is to just relax in the room, be sure to get out and explore. There’s so much to do in and around St Ives: hike to Zennor or even Gurnard’s Head, take a boat trip, visit beaches, explore the chapel, discover great restaurants, check out 3 Mile Beach, or catch a film in the small cinema just around the corner.
Highly recommended—we’ll be back!

IrelandStaff were exceptional with the two ladies at reception just amazing. I arrived with a little bit of an issue (nothing to do with hotel) and they were just so empathetic and lovely. Food was amazing, prices a little higher than the norm, but the food was so worth it. All the staff, no matter how young, were just class acts! The only issue I had was that we were only here for one night. Can’t recommend this place too highly.

United KingdomI had the most wonderful experience at Treloyhan Manor! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the breath taking views and the peaceful, elegant charm of the building. The manor itself is full of character, with beautiful period features and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always happy to offer local recommendations or just have a pleasant chat. My room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated – I especially loved waking up to the sea views through the large windows.
The surrounding gardens and the short walk down to the beach made it the perfect base to explore St Ives and enjoy some tranquillity away from the busier town centre.
Overall, Treloyhan Manor exceeded my expectations. It's a hidden gem that combines history, comfort, and outstanding service in a truly stunning location. I wouldn’t hesitate to return – highly recommended!

A few years since we last visited and it has changed. Seems to have lost some of its local charm and large parts of the town are now holiday lets, so I did not see many 'locals'. Plenty of choices for food from bistros to old fashioned pub grub. We ate at the Union pub in Fore Street on 4 nights and had something different each time, Every time it was lovely. It was our first time in St Ives and we really liked the relaxed feel of the town and how pretty it was in its natural seaside setting. There’s a strong creative community and the art galleries and shops are good. There are some classic English seaside town pisspoor eateries, but there are also some real gems that are well worth seeking out, if your budget allows. It's a lovely, quiet town. There's plenty to see and more than one beach to spend time at. It's a very clean city, which surprised me. I walked around with my wife after 11 p.m. and felt safe, even though I didn't encounter a single police officer. We like St Ives and visit at least once a year.
We like St Ives and visit at least once a year. It has great shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shops and beaches. Its not cheap, food and drink can be expensive if eating out and this year we found it difficult to cater for all dietary requirements. We had a good meal in the Beer & Bird and also the Firehouse. We like the Cornish Bakery for a cuppa and cake. Yellow Canary do a good gluten free pasty. Harbour Fish and Chips is always on our visit list. We generally travel to St Ives by train which is easy, which is great as long as you don't have too much luggage. The streets can be crowded in the summer and are narrow so would avoid using a car at this time of year. Out of season its easier to use a car.
